Smalls can be quite cozy tbh (many have wonderful views as well). And with the relocating having priority, it's a very nice way to start!
Also there's plenty examples on how to decorate those in a wonderful way, specially after they increased the furnishing capacity.
I get you! At first I thought I was ok without one but after a while they grew on me and considering that I don't have that much time to play, I also felt like I was losing a portion of the game that's pretty fun! (crafting/decorating homes, gardening. I love The Sims, so yeah...)Well everyone has their goals in the game. My number 1 goal for a long time was to get my own house. With a lot of hard work and some luck I got it. When I didn't have a house I honestly felt hopeless at times. Never enough to quit but I'll admit it made me miserable sometimes. Maybe this makes me pathetic too but it's how I felt.
Not to say that you always get housing stuff with Events.

To be fair, the OP attempted to bribe his way into getting a house. That's why people are less sympathetic. I have plenty of friends on Balmung who we spamming my discord with "omg Balmung still has houses!!!!" Even mediums were taking a bit to sell, albeit not Shirogane. If the OP were willing to transfer, they could have done so earlier and had their pick of houses since tons were available hours after the update.Well everyone has their goals in the game. I dont understand why so many want that plot. Sure it got a nice view but there is so many plots i front of it to block the view! Im happy with my large on the hill near the apartment building. Very nice viewYeah, it sucks that some can’t get their Dream Plot 30/60 Shirogane Mansion, but if they really wanted a house so badly that they would threaten to unsubscribe/leave the game if they didn’t get one, they would take any of the houses they could get: even if they’re those “awful” smalls or mediums that “no one wants”.
I do respect other people's viewpoints, but please listen to what I say right now: When I bought FFXIV, the first things in my mind were the fights, dungeons and raids I will be doing with others or just becoming social with other players. But having a house? While there is content locked behind FC housing, it's not the first thing I'd expect from a Final Fantasy game.
I wanna apologize if I offended you with my response to the thread. We all have goals, may it be having all classes at 70, becoming gil-capped or as you said; Owning a house. I myself also have the goal of owning a house, but that won't mean that I'd just quit the game because I did not get one. It does feel horrible, I can understand that but don't let that get to you. Quitting because of that would be a waste of your own time, money and dedication that you could've put into something more valuable.
is probably because of the sight from the hotspring what is near that plot, i want that plot myself for that same reason
The amount of entitlement people display when it comes to certain features is astounding. As a few others said, see you next month though. You'll be back like always.

Well I was more referring to the fact that some people place great value in housing to the point that it can affect their happiness in the rest of the game. That said I do wonder about those who heavily imply housing is their priority but remain on a highly populated server where their chances of getting one are immeasurably small. They're not exactly helping their own situation by staying there.
No need for apologies. I didn't take personal offense.I wanna apologize if I offended you with my response to the thread. While I understand how someone can feel very unhappy for not having a house, I agree quitting because of it would raise some eyebrows including my own. I enjoy several aspects of the game, and I would still be playing if I had no access to housing. But I admit my enjoyment would be much less colourful if my personal goal was unattainable through no fault of my own. It certainly felt that way for a while.

I played WoW from early Vanilla up to the end of Draenor (10-11y) and i was able to see the degradation of the game. The main reason were people like OP who did nothing else but whine for days and months because they "felt entitled" to something. And i'm not joking one bit. All of them had same starting point "i pay monthly subscription so i'm entitled to anything i want". Then for some unexplained reason Blizz decided to start listening those people and that was the beginning of the downfall (literally). From over 11-12 mil subs they went down to (probably) less than 2-3 mil at the end of Draenor and never recovered.
Now reading OP (plus many other posts) i get flashbacks. Yeah, i'm worried that SE one day could make same mistake like Blizz and literally kill the game, or bury so deep that will never see the sunlight.
