


If they do have proper names, one way to determine if they're a bot is by how they respond to tells; if they don't respond, then that's a red flag right there.

This may be true but there are also normal players that may ignore tells too, so yeah raising a flag is probably all you'd get out of that as to fully ensure someone is a bot you'd need to use additional methods to verify it.

If they get spammed with tells, eventually the player that ignores tells will eventually give in and either tell that player to "#@$% OFF!!" or set their status to busy so they won't get the tells. From what I've seen, bots hardly ever set their status on busy.

Back when I played on Ultros, I turned off alert sound and moved tells to a spam tab. Used linkshell I made for private conversations.
