Yeah, I was looking at that earlier. But until the top can be gotten, crafted seems to be the best option (and until some friends recently went hardcore crafter, it wasn't that much of an option for me personally). The Byakko and crafted options for weapons are pretty good too, can't deny that.

Still, while I understand SE likes to mix up stats for the sake of variation, at some point they've got to understand some jobs just don't need a particular stat, or one is valued far greater than another, with respect to jobs that share gear.
