Caster Changes in 4.2 (RIP Casters)

If a machinist and blm are of equal standing, acting independently of the party, operating at a lower level of play, in the context of the meta comp, the machinist would do lower dps than the blm because their damage is reliant on optimising external factors which a low-play mchs won't know how to do. Anyways, where are the arguments against how the meta comp is more rewarding to each individual player, rather than just spewing out reasons why it's better.
