I'm expecting an unresponsive client, into a multi-thousand person queue, only to log on and see every plot gone in every district literally within minutes.

I don't however expect them to apologize this time and claim to work on a fix. If this is the best they could come up with i've given up hope

Did they? I know it was said through a translation but apparently people haven't been able to confirm it from anywhere else so a lot of people are skeptical of it being an hour later so you'll still get a huge rush at the time with dcs.

In order to address further issues, the maintenance accompanying Patch 4.2 Hotfixes and the addition of housing wards originally scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. (PST) will now begin earlier, at 9:00 p.m. (PST). There will be no changes to the completion time.

When it comes to housing, they normally don't bring up the servers early.

That's a default they add to every single one. It's more in case they run into a problem and have to take longer. Any time they've said it won't come earlier, they've meant it. They had the same line in 4.2 as well which was on top because of the world first races and timer resets and such.

I would not expect them to add a waiting period for plot purchases after the servers are up, this to me sounds like a bad rumor and I would put zero stock in it.

It's true that they don't usually end maintenance early for housing updates but it's always safe to prepare for it and I kind of expect it more this time because I feel they might want to switch things up this go around. It's one of the few things I feel they would be willing to try in any case. Not that it would really do much lol.

I can't find anyone that speaks Japanese to verify this from last live letter. It looks like we may be in for a huge let down again.
