Did they really not learn their lesson the last time? At least turn the ability to buy on an hour or so after maintenance, give people time to actually get to the plots and try to get it rather than the mad dash to all login at once, causing tons of lag and server issues.

As is, the most likely scenario is by the time most people login and finish the queue the new wards are all going to be full anyway. It doesn't even give people a chance to try and get it.

Rumor has it there is, in fact, going to be a delay. But I haven't gone through the various sources to check so it might be nothing more than a rumor.

In any case, with individual purchases being restricted I don't think it will be quite as mad of a dash as before....

From what I've been told, new wards will only be availaible one hour or so after the end of the maintenance.
So it should let us enough time to log.

I had assumed from the Liveletter that housing was being released with 4.2 content, but an hour after servers went up - which was obviously incorrect though it explains where I got the notion of "an hour" from even before reading this thread.

During the live letter, the unofficial fan translations made mention of both the week delay on the wards being added and the houses only being available an hour after server goes live (with it specifically being mentioned that servers would not go live early).

Naturally, as with the rest of this clusterf***, Square's official word on the matter has been exceedingly lacking. There's no official post or statement, at least in English, that says the 1 hour delay is intact/actually a thing.

Yes, I think so too. I've been re-listening to the housing sections in the two live letters, and they mentioned introduction being one week after maintenance, but I didn't see or hear anything alluding to one hour after the patch. It does seem most likely that it was just a mistranslation of it being introduced one week after.
