RPers who want it unlocked seem to be under the impression they have RP'd with everyone on the server, and need new RPers in the server to liven it up... Not realising it'll be the exact same as it is now while making the entire Data Centre unstable due to the influx of RPers being told to come in.

Most of the complaints come from ERPers though, so... there's that.

There are no other options and starting a new FC right now is extremely difficult precisely because there is no new blood coming into the server. If you like the FC you are in or enjoy pickup RP at the Quicksand, then great! For everyone else that doesn't fall into that bucket though it is a pretty serious problem.

It's not even that. We have an entire network on tumblr that posts events every week, with a huge amount of variety to be had. http://balmungrpcalendar.tumblr.com/ Yes, the events aren't as crowded as before the lock but we're /far/ from dying or lacking in things to do. In fact we have more events /now/ than we used to.
