uh, I thought it was one of the lowest populations but THEeee highest active population...
unless i was told wrong
+1Not to pile on, but this post is just so full of wrong.
Firstly, since we can't take items out of the Dresser once we put them in, the 200 item slots is a real limitation, even for someone using it judiciously. Say you only Glamour a single job, but change looks every month. You'll be over halfway full after a year, and guess what? You can't free up space without deleting the item forever! Wonderful system.
Secondly, are you seriously advocating that we get 10 Plates PER job while stating that 200 slots is fine? You do realize that fully utilizing 10 Plates requires 12-13 items, correct? So... 10 plates per job... 120-130 items in the Dresser per job... yeah, I can't see anything going wrong with that at all, given the 200 item limit. Nope, no logical contradiction there.
These things have to be proportional. And they both need to be increased.

Searching
- "Search by gathering" in crafting log.
- isearch to support "" search for phrases, rather than searching single words.
- partial search for auto translate
Some people know that you can start writing and press tab and it'll list out choices to autocomplete
ex: Hell (tab)-> Hell's Lid = 4th choice
However this doesn't work for partial or phrase searching!
So using "Fractal" currently doesn't the "The Fractal Continuum" as a choice. A person using the auto-complete for auto-translate has to use:
The (tab)-> go down to choice 57.
-Free company searching
-Linkshell searching
(to the post below me, you did not understand what I said, pretty sure that is the active population, not total, if 23k is enough to make a server crowded, seems underwhelming server capacity say the least.)

If you’re not actually on Balmung, I don’t think you have room to talk. Balmung IS dying for some of us. It’s becoming harder to find RP, and if that sounds laughable to you, then it doesn’t apply to you, and you should mind your own business. I also don’t wish to vacate my apartment, and move to Mateus. Make it so I can transfer my apartment, and then we will talk.
I am currently on Balmung, I roleplay. It doesn't need to be unlocked. It would be nice if they had an invite system like FFXI, but there are still PLENTY of people to RP with. Maybe the issue is not the lack of people to play with, but the attitude of those seeking RP.If you’re not actually on Balmung, I don’t think you have room to talk. Balmung IS dying for some of us. How ironic. I know it's hard for some ppl to grasp, but there was a large amount of us that server transferred off Balmung the months after ARR release. Due to the influx of overall rude and over entitled players trying to dictate the server and its players. Amazing how such an influx of a small % of these types (nonrp included) kill the fun for others. Yet these players, many OG Balmungers didn't make demands on the forums, they moved on.
Balmung's locked state is simple, its overcrowded, effects server and datacenter performance for everyone on Aether, and its not viable for them to waste resources to make one server "work".

I payed to be here, so I disagree with you. I think it should work the way a lot of us expected it to.How ironic. Nope, Balmung is among the highest by both total pop and active pop. Being the unofficial, main RP server coupled with an active raid community, it was the first to get the doors locked. The issue is more that it's stagnating from the lack of new players entering.
But it's still a community issue from the amount of active players at any given time (23k is only too many when most of those are logged in at all times). It's still the liveliest server, and by way too much. Saying it's going to die is hyperbole.

Personally, I like the Sprint changes, minus the 60 second cooldown. I think, in combat, 60 seconds is fine, but out of combat, it should be reduced to 30 seconds again. It is REALLY ANNOYING to have to wait a full minute to Sprint again when I’m playing my baby alts that don’t have mounts unlocked yet.
Lucky’s Census has Balmung still at ~21k players as of the end of January. Until the population goes down more, I don’t think SE will unlock it. I also think they are afraid that people will just flock back to it the moment they do, which is another reason it is still closed.- Unlock Balmung before our server dies
Yes, please. It’s like the old saying goes: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Literally no one asked for this change.- Expanded Inventory is supposed to mean that I see everything in one window. Not two tabs. Put it back the way it was. It wasn’t broken.
I’m down for more storage.- Make the glamour dressser storage at least 500 items. As a veteran I’m running out of room already.
Mother of God, please fix this hairstyle. I know the designer probably hates Miqo’te but please fix it. It’s the only hairstyle that comes close to replacing Lightning’s hair on my main...minus the drunkenly placed buns.- Fix the double bun hair style on Miqo’te. It’s horrendous.
Really, they should just dedicate time and resources to turning it into a solo instance by 5.0 with Squadrons or NPCs.- MSQ Quest Roulette should have skippable cutscenes. I’m not running it anymore.
Please. I think there should be several more; enough to cover one per role (crafters and gatherers included) with some extras.- More tabs on glamour plates please.
Mobile orchestrion sounds really nice. I usually don’t have mount music on unless I’m riding a Savage or Primal mount because I am sick of the generic mount music. I would love to have the background music for The Fringes playing while I’m flying around Sea of Clouds or something. :3 (I adore the music in The Fringes; I haven’t changed my orchestrion from that music since I got it.)- Let us use orchestrations on our chocobos.
I personally am for this (as well as old minions from OSTs, Artbooks, and Plushies), but others will say “something something exclusivity”. I don’t care if they want to put the items in the cash shop a year after the codes for the items expire or are no longer available. Or even sooner. I have the code before others AND awesome merchandise to go with it. Exclusivity and “limited time only” things have never really been my thing.- Shiva emote, and Odin emote in the cash shop.
To add to this: just expand the Armoire to cover ALL Mogstation purchases. I would love to free up retainer space by storing the Chinese and Korean outfits in there.- No more losing dyes when I put things in the armoir.
