SE: Can we get back skip cutscene in Main Scenarios?

If I didn't even bother with MSQ Roulette BEFORE they made cutscenes unskippable, I don't see why have to still bother with them now. Like... why did people even do it back then in the first place? The tomes of Poetics? The completely USELESS tomes of poetics?! LMAO

I feel slightly bad that I jokingly said in the MSQ party chat that its a ploy to sell Cut Scene skip potions in the Mogstation and someone believed me ^^

Hence why I save Mentor Roulette for last on my list of roulette dailies to do. I honestly don't mind eating the 30min penalty if i happen to get the msq roulette dungeons. I don't mind mentoring, but I also value my time and I'm not doing stuff like that, that hands out meh rewards for so much time wasted.

I've had newbies in Novice Network who don't like the changes either. NEWBIES mind you, not just vets.

These changes to msq roulette is just bad decision making which se is well known for now. If you are new and wanted to do the msq dungeon and watch cutscenes, you could just setup a PF and with a first time bonus. This is a good method that players could do but se feels the need to basically kill off the roulette to appeal to a small minority of players. Unless ppl have a lot of time to kill, anyone who values their time isn't gonna touch this roulette again.

Nobody actually knows the numbers of how many people are stopping or how many newbies complained , just what they've seen anecdotally, except for the devs themselves. Lets wait and see if this has actually "killed" the roulette. In the mean time Please do stop running and lets let the numbers speak for themselves.

I've seen newbies left behind and bewildered in my msq runs with people telling them "lol watch at inn, CS too long". But I don't think this is always the case.
Likely what's happening is there is a large amount of newbies who had that experience, said NOTHING , because that's what people online usually do, and just were disgusted with the game and let their sub lapse. Or at least there is some metric that SE is measuring that tells this story.
Without being privy to the entire playerbases hard numbers we have to remember that even this seemingly active board is a VERY small sample of the playerbase and our "he said ,she said" back and forth is a very poor sample of any kind of representation.

Your server must have a lot of alts then. Don't judge all newbies in NN based on your personal opinion of some of them. As far as my server's NN we do have actual newbies, and a lot of them don't agree with this change. SE is appealing to a small minority of players with this change. Not everyone wants this change, even newbies.

Poetics ain't "completely useless" IMO. I use them to gear alts, turn in Shire Accessories for GC seals (1270 GC seals ain't nothing to sneeze at to buy ventures, food, cordials, GC mats, etc.), and both of the currently available relic chains.

Because circumstances change. There is now cross server PF and datacenter wide DF. It's possible the old "do it here and watch it at the inn" mentality was a necessary evil tolerated because otherwise it just wouldn't get done if your server was lackluster on people who wanted to help out or do old content.
Unending journey was meant as a way to go back and watch things you missed because of misclicks, or you were wearing weird gear and wanted your character to look nicer , or maybe you personally just didn't have time to watch it at the moment, maybe even just because you wanted to rewatch a great story again, NOT for other people to decide for you that the cutscene isn't worth it and if you HAD to know , go look at it later.

There is a problem with this change, but it's not to the DF, it's that the restriction is on the dungeons even when NOT in duty finder.

I also noticed that. I guess they decided it couldn’t work with the auto-scroll but it’s sad to see that moment go. (Even if giving the ‘wrong’ answer meant that Gaius basically ignored it and went off on his rant as if you’d given the intended one anyway!)

Maybe they could have had it just automatically pick the first option after twenty seconds or something? I understand the need to prevent people from holding the group hostage, but it sucks that you can't even see the original version in the inn (I checked).
