If someone quoted one of your posts, the quote will stay that way, even if you edit/delete your post.

And no, you didnt mentioned them - your behaviour just reminded me of them, so I figured your actual goal could be something similar to theirs.

Thats pretty much the point of a forum though - to discuss and in order for everyone to follow that discussion, keep the posts visible. If you dont like that, you should indeed just stop posting
