    Im not sure if thats a good road, im imaging the WoW system when i read the exchange item for weapon, if thats it, then it will suck for sure, i wish they keep the incap mob for drop and if you dont want crafters to be on top of everything then leave an NPC for that as crafter with several needs.

    I'll live with it until the 2.0 version of the loot system. If it means I can help friends get the weapon they've been fighting for so many times, great. Problem wasn't so much the drop rate (though it does suck), but it was the fact that you were getting items you didn't need. If this means you can turn something in and insure you get the weapon you wanted, especially if you've killed Ifrit 40 times, then that's fine by me.

    Sure, I'd like the need/greed system as soon as possible, but as we won't have that for another year, then we have to live with this until then.

    Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them.     This is similar to the OP's suggestion, but we have decided on preserving the current drop rates for weapons and individual chests and dropping an item which can be traded for a weapon at a fixed rate, in addition to the reward weapon drop.
    Tradable in the context of to the NPC.

    I doubt. Passable but untradeable = EX stuff going to loot. Just like tappers, that can be given away while at loot but not tradeable.

    Just another flaw to the list. I'm getting REALLY curious to see what excuse the dev team will use when we migrate to 2.0 servers...because right now it's always the current server's fault.

    Your post is irrelevant. No one wants to pay to play this game and not get anything outa it. People in my Ls have done 30+ ifrits and not gotten a single weapon. I have done 25+ and gotten 5 ifrits canes. I dont not play a mage job i play MRD LNC PUG i dont want firewood! And they are doing a great job of deterring me from playing this game.

    I'm happy to hear they are doing a token-like system but I'm not sure I like their implementation. I think it'd be better if it was untradable but dropped for each person.
