Doesn't the ghost for healers end up killing itself at some point, or is that only in Savage?

How is it not relevant? The Conjurer story continually says Conjurers use elemental powers because that's their job. I don't think it's coincidence that every elemental skill (except the water one) is an offensive one, especially given that Sylphie continually points out that she doesn't want to do anything except heal.
White Mage even gets a heal that serves an offensive purpose later on when it levels up. The other Healer you have access to from the start is gated behind a DPS. The skill trees for pretty much even Healer even typically has you learn your first heal four levels after Level 1, as if to encourage you from the outset to DPS.
There's a difference between bait and satire and I'm pretty sure this thread is actually the latter.
Are we talking about the game wher, there are wet noodle tanks, who have also no idea about the CD's or never use the tanks stance, there are dps that does not dodge aoe's for the sake of casting spell, for low levels the healers job is not a simple task, even sastasha gives a pressure, since tanks there are soft and pulling 2 groups is like playing a roulette. The game gives you a billion strong DPS skills and almost unlimited MP (when the group isn't wiping all over the place),the game makes your heals strong enough and the incoming damage weak enough that you're able to spend up to 100% of your time DPSing without anyone being in any danger of dying, and the newbie healer dialogue in novice hall encourages you to cast DPS spells when there's a chance for it. Does this really need to be spelled out any clearer?
(Btw the game doesn't directly ask me to use my songs as a BRD either.)
Not to mention the "pro super i will carry" tanks that pull entire dungeon level and go with offensive stance for the fastest run, sure there healer doesnt have to cast anything 100% of time right.
Some people dont read those quests, because they find it a waste of time for the most part. Its 2018 already, even free to play mmos has dubbing. How is it not relevant? You can claim it is a failure in the design, because at its core the game is designed for healers to be doing damage. Why hang so many dogs on the OP, when the game developer himself has told healer should not be asked to do dps? They have just admitted that, healers are for healing and you cant ask them to do dps.
I call it a design fail, the run is too hard for their class design, this game doesnt have any balance or a main design theme it will stick itself together, the whole jobs and classes and duties are in incredible mess, to the point where people have to get a parser in order to proceed further. SE does not care at all, they see players managing to do hardest game content and they dont see anything in need of a rework so they keep copying the same scheme over and over again.
This leads to the shait like that, where some people convinced by the game about their job hit the wall, made by developer himself, thats disgusting.
Why does developer saying stuff, that does not translate into the game like at all? Do they even play their game, i doubt.
I can see now why DRK is being left over with nothing for so long time, because why they should change and rework the class if people are playing it just "fine"?
Regardless of what the devs say on the matter.
What matters is how the devs design the combat.
But...
The problem is where, the healers heals are so powerful that they can't stay active for fights relying on only healing or supporting skills.
They will have downtime just due to how the heals are designed.
And it is inconsiderate to stand around and do nothing when no healing is required while also requiring every other class to be pressing buttons every time the gcd comes up.
ABC
Always Be Casting.
If the healing is taken care of for the time being, and your gcd comes up, you should be pressing a skill beneficial to the group.
Since the healing is taken care of, and overhealing is not beneficial, that only leaves doing damage as the healer's option.
