2) OP posted and never appeared again.

Completely agree. I hate being a burden on my group JUST because I decided to build pure heals instead of the 'meta' dps crap going around nowadays.

Its not about healers not doing their job, its about developer.
None is arguing if the healer should dps or not, but there is a huge gap in the design where you could get by trapped by.
You are not asked by the game itself to do damage, but on the other end it is mandatory to do so to proceed further into the game.

Its the game design giant flaw.

The game gives you a billion strong DPS skills and almost unlimited MP (when the group isn't wiping all over the place),the game makes your heals strong enough and the incoming damage weak enough that you're able to spend up to 100% of your time DPSing without anyone being in any danger of dying, and the newbie healer dialogue in novice hall encourages you to cast DPS spells when there's a chance for it. Does this really need to be spelled out any clearer?

(Btw the game doesn't directly ask me to use my songs as a BRD either.)
