Over all it was really well made. Can't wait to start off on savage.
Doom Train; The good; Doom train was a classic, very well made, love the music, and after the fight the cs was really a great touch down memory lane. The bad; Can't suplex it :P The ugly; No music rolls ; ; / wish they had Doom Train as a minion
Painting Demon; (forgot name >.<) The good ; I love the how this worked as a puzzle and had a good laugh on how people kept messing up after telling them what to do. The bad; More on players side, not sure if doing it on purpose however even after hints did not understand simple mechanics. The Ugly; Would have been nice to be able to get the main paining for our FC. Now I really want it.
The guardian; The good; Very creative wish it would of been one of the espers like Tritoch or Ultima Weapon from the floating island. The Bad; could of used more attack variations. The ugly The adds dies pretty fast would of been a nice challenge if they lasted longer.
Kefka; The good; THANK YOU OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED, love the the statue phase went lots of fun and really brought back memories. The bad; Would of been nice to have had a voice CS, maybe with Kefka's voice from Dissidia NT. The Ugly No music roll, No God form ; ;, really wanted to fallen one again :P maybe for savage? Could we get a Kefka laugh emote pls?
Overall; Was not disappointed, for once I'm looking forward to savage. Very well done ^^...Music rolls pls :P

As for the music. Decisive battle from FFVI is way better than FFV's from deltascape. Specially the piano part.
With that said, I still prefer the original FFXIV theme from alexander (Locus, Entropy and Brute justice)
I actually really enjoyed myself in Sigmascape. I think that experienced was more or less enhanced with the fact that in all my parties, most of us were trying to figure out mechanics. Made for a very fun experience, and I can't wait to get geared enough to dip my toes in savage.

Oh I knew it was themed after some old FF game like the last one. Problem is for those of us who've never played those old games, it just ends up feeling like a convoluted mess.

I have to say - thank you, SE, for Sigmascape. From the moment I rolled into Phantom Train and heard the train's music (which needs to be an Orchestrion roll, it sets the perfect atmosphere) and then rolled into The Decisive Battle, I was already in nostalgic delight. Phantom Train used several of its signature moves including Acid Rain and Phantom Whistle (but a shame no Wheels were thrown at us!) and managed to make use of the myriad of ghosts it transports. Even the interiors of the cars were wonderfully designed, letting me take a step back into my favorite FF game throughout the series. And then jumping on back and running for the chimney? I couldn't help but shout that the switch to stop him was behind the chimney, haha.
Chadarnook was no less, seeing the goddess step out from her painting before the real fight, though personally I would have loved if they had stuck to the canon swap between Goddess and Chadarnook with the Goddess throwing out charm/confusion abilities, lowering his maximum HP to account for the times of down DPS (or using those phases as DPS checks for adds or similar). Guardian was certainly Guardian, making use of all of the programs that he did in the original game, and throwing in the Gubal boss was a pleasant surprise.
And of course... Kefka. I love Cid and Nero's description of him right from the very start, as they hit the nail on the head perfectly. Unpredictable, insane, a masterful mage and one who claimed rulership of a ruined world as its god. Stepping in to get his old FF6 laugh was just the icing on the cake, and when we fade to Dancing Mad and the statue you fight in the first game? Bliss. Now I absolutely need to dip my toes into the Savage scene this time around to get to O8S and get to what I hope is God of Magic Kefka at the end of the first phase, which hopefully occurs when the last bit of the statue is finished.
So yeah... prolly my favorite raid now, by a long shot.
Haven't done O8N yet but did the other fights quickly last night. They were interesting fights mechanic wise but they seemed easier than Delta. I did all three with DF groups and only had one wipe on O7 , because too many were dead when adds spawned. Maybe it was because we were all over geared but we didn't follow most of the mechanics (didn't understand them) and we were still able to recover easily with multiple deaths.
In O5 we had most the party dead ( only me and tank alive) and we were still able to rezz the whole party and beat it without using healer lb. I like the fights but I feel like normal will get boring pretty quickly. I think if you're 340 you're way too strong for these fights. Rabanastre is still more challenging if you don't know the mechanics.
well, you will have a new Ulitmate encounter in 4.3....
