AHAHAHAH.The new change NEEDS to be 1 per Physical actually real life address.
As long as 1 person is allowed to buy and pay for more than 1 subscription/account you can bet people will have 2 accounts to own multiple housing.
The new restriction is too easy to bypass that way. Hopefully enough plots/wards for everyone will make all the problems go away, and everyone happy.
This is funny.
This is exactly what they should do. The amount of toxicity I see in these threads is mind boggling. Every time I post in them explaining the situation in detail people ignore it so they can continue their toxic agenda. For example on my server if every FC that could buy a house did from the new wards, there would only be 124 FCs w/out houses. Not every FC will buy a house so there will be houses available for personal use. More wards added later (4.3?) will only further close the gap. Stop attacking people, have some patience you will get a house.
It's not an attack it's pretty much common sense. People tend to forget, we all pay a subscription order, none of us are above anyone else. SOME OF US put more effort than others. Also let face the facts, people will always think things are unfair if they are not part of them.
Once upon a time, in a certain country (or countries, actually), they were able to use this short of excuse to delete you. Yes, I mean literally killed off. Because you were able to own more properties than average, "concerned and patriotic citizens" (read: jealous and petty people) would point fingers at you and called you "capitalist" (?!), lied about crimes you never committed, accused you of conspiring against the "revolution", etc, and of course the judge would listen to them, because "the people" said so...and so off to public stoning you go! After you and your family members are dead, your stuffs were then available to the people, to the greater good!
Sounds familiar? I could cook up all sorts of things about people who own lots of gil to make them look evil too! There's no way that these people were able to make that kind of gil through working legally by crafting and gathering, right?
hmmm what is there to represent? that is why there are apartments. -.- don't really have to look. Otherwise do what every other player does, make an effort. Take day off, log off in ward, have a secure non interrupted line ect. Hope for the best.
Once again why do people always have to take something out of context to win an argument.I never said all players, you have just made this assumption.
Here are the main 3 reasons people buy gil on sites. To be able to afford housing, for crafted and melded gear and for buying content clears that fc's sell.
Regardless of how many made their gil through crafting etc there will always be a bunch of owners who bought theirs with gil off a site.
We wouldnt still have gil sellers spamming in Limsea daily if there was no market for them. When they dropped fc house prices when releasing them that actually helped against gil buying. But then when people hoarded multiple houses at cheap prices it drove house prices up and drove more to buying gil.
Gill buyers have been around for a very long time, unfortunately you are correct and wrong at the same time. SE made it extremely easy to make gill and while there are gill sellers out there it's not really an excuse. Example; I work hard to raise my crafting and learning how to manipulate the market board. You can very easily make over 10 mill if you really focus in less than 1 week. Now then with that mind set housing was no different. I made FC from the ground up and rented or sold it based on offers. It is not really hard to get housing if you know what to look for. Gill buyers take advantage of the frustration players have and like to troll peoples mind. We all know RTM is is wrong and really only people who can afford it and are trying to convince themselves they are hard workers really do it. Second accounts have been banned so we know SE is doing something about it. Now SE knows they can't get every single one so how do they compete? Jump potions is one way. So in a way it's pretty much the same thing in other forms. The same could be said about any other game online or even now a days console games were you can by currency. It's just the way society changes and everyone can feel special and cheats are the way go sadly enough. If you think about it most online games would have less subscriptions if they did not. In the end is all about ethics which unfortunately for the most part people who are still ethical get put down.Once again why do people always have to take something out of context to win an argument.I never said all players, you have just made this assumption.

Give them x months to prune down to one house with appropriate compensation. I don't see anything unfair. Unfair would allowing them to keep more than others are allowed to have.
M8, your assumption (and narrative) is that if we somehow getting rid of these multiple-house owners, gil sellers will drop. Hint: it wouldn't make a dent on their long term profit. They exist mainly for people who want to hoard stuffs on market boards. Judging by the limited number of plots, their profit in housing is minuscule in the long-run, because those will run out eventually. On the other hand, market board stuffs are unending, easily available.Once again why do people always have to take something out of context to win an argument.I never said all players, you have just made this assumption.

Stop trying to paint a bad picture on multiple-house owner and linking them with gil sellers. ANYONE can buy gil if they want to.
Not going to happen thankfully. You cant even see the irony of your use of the word unfair, and what you are wanting to force upon others...
The only thing unfair about the housing system is the fact that you can't have everyone owning a house of their choice on all of their characters.
SE doesn't need to take housing from anyone to make it "fair". SE needs to make housing available to everyone to make it fair.
