So let me get this straight, I should quit the game and that everyone else should get what they want except me? to make you happy but not others who don't wanna see that stuff gotcha.
Sounds selfish if you ask me.
So your idea of having fun is playing dress up.
I have fun who says I hate having fun but in my own way, I just don't wanna see it I have every right just as much as you if you wanna play barbie doll dress up simulator and have fun that's cool with me.
I tend to pay attention to the game teleport when things get a little crazy in the zones, I see people cybering dressing up like those pictures you show and sorry but they ruin the fun for me not to say you do it but blame others for their actions and the way I think about it.
Anyways have fun.
Unfortunately one of the risks of playing any multiplayer game is potentially seeing/interacting with things you don't like, my guy. The neon pig suits, bikini tanks, and flying christmas bears aint my thing, but they're just a part of the game.

Snide side comments aside (on both sides) , is it that bad to ask to be able to force your personal client to render other players as "basic" gear? Aside from personal tastes, it might (slightly) help those with poor internet connections since no requests for other players appearances would be necessary.
It wouldn't affect your game at all.

I can't think of anything that is a better reply to this post than this post.
Anyone with bad internet or an outdated PC is going to chug through any area with people, thav boleros or no. The feature would by no means break the game for me, but I can think of a dozen more useful QoL adjustmentsSnide side comments aside (on both sides) , is it that bad to ask to be able to force your personal client to render other players as "basic" gear? starting with finally releasing the male bunny suit![]()
Do you ask to be shielded from people wearing things you don't approve of IRL too? I don't really like seeing people in certain wear (and some people have AWFUL fashion sense!) but it's just how they express themselves. It has nothing to do with me or what I like and dislike. If you can get over the two guys on your server who go out of their way to dress up like princesses and enjoy the game for everything else it has to offer, you might find yourself wondering why you ever bothered to care about some random stranger's get-up in the first place. I used to be very sensitive about what people were wearing and judge them harshly, but over the years I came to realize... it doesn't MATTER. They don't care about what I think, they're not doing it to annoy or disgust me, they're just showing a part of who they are. It's the same deal here- you aren't even in the equation. So why do you care if they aren't trying to stuff you in a dress?I tend to pay attention to the game teleport when things get a little crazy in the zones, I see people cybering dressing up like those pictures you show and sorry but they ruin the fun for me not to say you do it but blame others for their actions and the way I think about it.
I do have a legit question though... if SE actually comes through and makes a male-only bunny outfit designed for guys and not just a copy-paste of the girl's outfit, would that offend you? Only guys could wear it, and it probably wouldn't be feminine in the least if they designed it right, but it would be quite revealing. Is male sexuality some kind of horrible taboo to you like it seems to be to SE? Or is it just the oddballs who try to be as feminine as possible with their male avatars that give you the cooties?

I'll admit I'm derailing a little bit, the bunny suit is long overdue and is a really solid example of promises not delivered. +1 for please get this out to us now.
but..
Can you deny an option to hide other players .. uh.. tastes, wouldn't be totally useless? For the same reasons people don't like hearing bard performances (they're adding a way to turn this off), people might not want speedo torpedo the wonder roegadyn tank dancing around them in town.
Options to change personal perception are always positives in my book as long as they don't change gameplay or give mechanical advantage in pvp.
I think I saw something about red/blue teams in PVP already? If so the mechanic is already there. I could be mistaken there since my pvp was limited to getting a few wolfmark pieces then stopping.

If you can name one male character in any Final Fantasy game. Then I will be ok with this.
