Final fantasy brave exvius/record keeper fans here?

I decided to shy away from controversial topics this time (for once) and throw a new thread out there. Do we have any fans of final fantasy brave exvius or record keeper here? I'll even throw in Dissidia Opera Omnia since that's supposed to be here next week supposedly.

Played möbius back when it first came out but soon stopped when I realised the chances of any good characters was slim to none in the draw. Finished first chapter though then during the wait left and that was it.

As for record keeper, got so many 5* stuff and weapons coming out my ears. Again though stopped playing as all the content I can do is easy and all the harder content like nightmare dungeons and stuff were just stupid hard unless you spend a fortune to get everyone geared up to the hills with every kind of SB you can get. Then when they began scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of character intros....and the repetitive dungeon format that I was growing tired of after a year playing it I gave up that back in the summer.

Mobile games should be something you can play on the bus or toilet not something I need to plug into a power cable for and plough hours into just to complete a dungeon. Too many mobile games these days though think they're console games

They’re only as hardcore as you make them honestly. If you just want to play it casually, then just complete the low level event dungeons to collect the characters. If you want to be a little more hardcore then take on the tougher content like the hard mode dungeons to break level caps and such, if you want to sink hours into it then you have things like the nightmare dungeons in record keeper. They’re constantly getting updated so there’s never a shortage of things to do.

I’ve played mobius, record keeper and exvius. I really like record keeper, it’s a fun nostalgia game and probably the most free to play friendly of all 3, it’s what final fantasy all the bravest should have been.

Mobius, I really didn’t like much when it first came out, it was very cheap on the summon tickets and there was constant pressure to spend money. Like when they first released the 5 legend jobs and expected you to pay $60 to get them, EACH! But I think they paid off their investors now or whatever because it’s gotten a lot better, I managed to get a bunch of legend jobs and both ultimate heroes without spending a penny on it so far.

Exvius... I have mixed feelings towards. They put a lot of effort into it, the story, exploration maps, graphics, gameplay systems. But it’s probably the most pay to win game of the 3, with things like trust mastery rewarding people for buying more draws and those rewards being crazy OP things like the best equipment in the game or traits like dual wield or doublecast.

I also don’t like drawing characters, that really rubs me the wrong way. Like in record keeper you get the characters from the events, but they’re not great until you draw equipment for them. Exvius does it the other way around, once you have the character you have everything that character can do and just have to level up and gear them. But it’s really demoralising when you want a character and you don’t get them and you know the longer it takes you to get them the less likely you are to get them as the draw pool gets flooded. Not to mention the stingie draw rates for 5* characters in exvius. But I think I finally dropped exvius because they kept putting story units in the draw like Dark fina, I generally liked to role play the story using the story characters, so when I couldn’t get Dark fina from the draw I didn’t really want to play the story anymore, so that was the last straw for me with exvius.

If I had to pick a favourite I’d probably have to say mobius. Unlike exvius it became a lot more free to play friendly and while record keeper is fun, it’s not got much going for it, no story, graphics aren’t great even if that’s intentional, it’s just nostalgia bait. Mobius is kind of in the sweet spot, great graphics, a story (even if not a very interesting one so far) and lots to do.

I will be picking up opera omnia, it looks interesting, like a better graphics record keeper with a story.

I play FF:RK. I got overstikes for Tidus, Squall, quitis, batrz, cloud, and gilgamesh. I got bursts for a lot more. Chains are Riona (melds nicely with Squall's overstrike+blizzard weakness boss), Shanotto, Tidus, lightning, braska, rosa, kain, tyro. My main party is comprised of Yuna (both burst soul breaks plus her super one plus her unique sending), Squall, a healer (usually either Braska or Riona depending on what difficulty 140 dungeon I am doing), Tidus (he can self-chain and add to the chain 'nuff said), Quitis (does extras like weaken attack or armor). If they got a overstrike and are in the main party (or if I have enough soul breaks to have an excuse), they are level 99. Rosa is not 99. Kain is not 99. Braska is above 80 below 99. Eiko has a last stand (my only 1) and a reraise soul break (oddly enough, only Aerith from VII has reraise soul break in my group ATM.) which is being mastered so they got a memory crystal III lode. The ONLY III lodes I go after are from a FFX series dungeon OR VIII because those are where my strengths lie. I have been spending 100 gems on the first relic draws and only those whenever I see them as it's cheap and a easy way to get something. I not be able to go after difficulty 180+ dungeons/nightmares/magicite but I save my mythril for use as retries for those 140 dungeons if I mess up or when the half-off relic draws occur. Yuna is the only person who I do not have the soul break they came with on as I have so many-and Yuna is by protectga/shellga person. The FIRST memory crystal II lode for Squall cost me $21 in retries to get the thing and I learned a hard lesson that day-I don't do anything above what I believe I can do safely and with a minimum of retries. With my party composition, if I have one person die, it's a slow death unless it's close to the end (I have won a III lode or 2 with one party member left alive. It took me quite a few retries with a different makeup as above for a FFX dungeon-all FFX characters but none had overstrikes at the time). Using my rule for bestowing III lodes and my rule for when I attempt them, I have 2 left I can give anytime. I have burst and supers for many, many other characters I just don't use because they wouldn't be as useful (example: would having Kain's ultra with Rosa's be useful when attempting a difficulty 140 FFIV dungeon having to swap out Yuna and Quitis or Squall or Tidus, all of whom have an overstrike mastered at minimum and a chain/overstike combo at most be worth it?)

I gave up on those games. Playing games on a phone is a truly horrible experience.

I fell behind on Record Keeper about 3 months after release. Went back to it about a year later, and so many things had changed that I couldn't get back into it. I'm a bit impatient about some things. Was nowhere near ready to try one of the Nightmare dungeons.

Haven't touched Exvius, but have been keeping up with Mobius since the first week of its release, and started FFRK slightly before then.

Assuming you have the time to grind, Mobius is easily the most F2P friendly out of all of Square-Enix's mobile titles now, as you can farm a little under seven pulls worth of currency per month for free. There is an extreme power gap between players lucky enough to pull one of the ultra-rare Supreme cards (Or whale for a guaranteed one when the option is available) and those who don't, though, to the point where you pretty much need one or more of them to place in the top tier of any ranking event (Which thankfully, doesn't lock you out of anything too spectacular, but it's still a bit annoying), which are also practically the only thing in the game that will actually challenge you at that point.

FFRK is kind of a mixed bag for me. It's a lot stingier with its free currency and it's tough to get started in due to there being a large number of buffs like Protectga/Shellga/Hastega/Boostga/Faithga that are extremely important for tackling the harder quests/bosses, so your luck with pulls heavily dictates how quickly/effectively you can progress through much of anything. Apparently, the JP version realized this and implemented a new feature that allows you to do simple missions to earn free pulls for specific relics that let you easily form a good base team to work with instead of being largely at the mercy of the RNG.

I'm interested in Opera Omnia, as it it seems similar to Exvius in that it's taking a "quality over quantity" approach to its character roster (Unlike FFRK where the roster has become so bloated that certain characters end up getting shunned for years before something buffs them back into relevance), but is supposedly more F2P friendly.

hastega? faithga? I don't have those. In fact, the ONLY ones I rely on for buffs are protectga and shellga. I do rely on magic break/breakdown & it's equivilant for magic armor as well as power break/breakdown & armor break/breakdown. I have 2 fairly decently honed copies of lifesiphion. I have fully honed curega and a decently honed cureaja. I read you for the RNG on relics. Hell, getting the first unique for Yuna is THE reason she is my go-to for buffer (that and the # of soul breaks I got for her made her the first to get a III lode). The RNG has been alleviated somewhat by the fact that for every 11x relic draw, you are guaranteed ONE soul break minimum. It may be a duplicate of one you have but it's there. RNG has dictated my party composition for the most part. I WANT to include Cloud but at the same time, I don't have his BURST soul break but I have his overstrike. Zidane's soul break goes nicely with Squall's but I don't have Zidane's overstrike. Riona I had nothing until a couple months ago where I got her chain which is SO useful she got a III lode. IF the JPN version has quests you can go on to get decent draws, they'll make it to the ENG version soon. Gilgamesh for example, I have his burst and overstrike but nobody meshes with either. Shanotto and riona are the only interchangeable chain element wise ones at a cost of no healing

I can vouch for Opera Omnia, if it ports to ENG the same way that they've done in the original JPN version (I.e. they don't add a stamina system). The little bit I've played, it was very fun, more so than what I've experienced with even Brave Exvius. There's still a gatcha element with it, though that's mainly for equipment (basically, you could play the normal levels and grind exp/farm for shards as much as you want, but special events can only be entered a certain amount of times). The last time I played, I had FF2's Maria, the Warrior of Light, and Type-0's Rem as my main squad...Kuja, Squall, Sazh, Y'Shtola, and Edge were good for me as I got out of the early levels, too.

I used to play Record Keeper quite a bit but stopped. I'm still playing Brave Exvius. I absolutely love the sprites. Luneth is by far my favorite.
