Wtf... So basically this is gonna apply to wards 13 to 18. Honestly what a silly thing. And what about people flipping their old house on alt to new houses. Will they be stopped, will the system recognise this. Incoming 99% bot wards with that one poor guy who managed to actually get his dream house. Something has to be done about these selfish people

All future house relinquish and sales will fall under restrictions regardless of wards. People who still own multiple houses will get to keep them but they will not be able to add or change what they have. And new people will not be able to do the same thing and collect multiple houses in the future. This is realistically the best you could have hoped for. Those that own multiple houses didn't break any rules.

It's understandable, however even if no rules were broken its still viable to say rules can always be changed, i mean they have been before. Also its not out of hand to say programmers can somehow make it so pre-existing owners get to choose which house to keep. I understand it might be a bit of a heavy topic since it may also sound wrong to force those hoarders to lose their extra plots, but at the same time hoarding should be wrong anyway shouldn't it? I'd like to think that since i already own one of each plot im not even being biased about it. I am just truly concerned for all those people who can't get a part of the game content (a house) simply because SE allowed greedy people to take them all up in the first place? Is that really so wrong of me to have that point of view?

If you check out the first few threads in the housing forum you'll see quite a bit of discussion on it already. This method took less programming vs spending a bunch of time programming checks, reminders, etc for a one-time purge.

Yes meanwhile resources and time gets wasted on things like diadem xD? I really hope eureka doesn't end up the same =S. Regardless thank you for these links whenever i search i tend to somehow miss what i'm looking for =S.

Restrictions were put in place for new purchases. If you're referring to moving plots, no restrictions were programmed for that so anyone (fc or personal) that already owns a plot can freely move to the open plots during the 'fc only' phase.

This will apply to any plot available for purchase regardless of location. Current owners will be able to relocate but not purchase any new houses. As far as reselling SE is implementing a random timer so that when a plot is relinquished you won't know when it will become available. While not perfect it should put a good size dent in reselling and RMT activity.

There is nothing selfish about owning more than one house. When SE designed the system it was to allow for a player to own more than one via alts. Multiple house owners are a minority and the majority only own 2 or 3 houses. Instead of pointing your ire at other players who have done nothing wrong you should redirect it at SE. It is SE who designed this lousy housing system and doubled down perpetuating it rather than admit it is a failure and develop a new system that would meet all players needs.

SE will be pretty much violating every character's right to own their own house and they must do something to fix such arbitrariness, something that could make everyone happy is that they allow all characters under the same account in the same world to share the one house that can be owned!...

There are a couple of threads on the housing forum talking about this very issue. Alts on the same server need to be able to share houses and enjoy the various benefits that go with it.
