SE, Please consider removing EX trials from the Mentor Roulette.

Always felt these had no place in the mentor roulette myself, so yeah, I'm all for their removal.

They're just a waste of time whenever they do show up because DF parties rarely complete them. People need to learn to use the PF or more coordinated groups to complete these (assuming they don't just unsync them), like they would with any other harder raid content.

Yet over in JP, DF parties tend to do all their content in DF....or at least, so I've been hearing lately.

If you remove the EX Primals you remove literally anything that presents a modicum of challenge in the roulette, and so that that point you have to ask yourself why you need to restrict it to Mentors in the first place? Better to rename it to something like "General Adventurer in Need" roulette and open it up for everyone if you want to make it that effortless to complete.

I actually agree that opening the roulette would probably benefit queues in a way, as long as it's not flooded by DPS, but as it is right now at least the mentor requirement filters out people who never tank/heal, and those two are usually the roles in need.

Current content yeah, old content I don't think even JP players want to keep doing the same mechs for 4 years when unsync is so fast.

I kinda avoid mentor roulette for that reason I feel like I'm useless in the level 50 ex fight since I never did the content when it was relevant(and to be honest I don't want to spend the time to learn lvl 50 synced ex content I'd rather spend the time learning relevant harder content).

I'm a bit indifferent to their removal since I don't do the roulette anymore so I'm fine either way.

We aren't "over in JP", and the failure rate I see on these trials whenever the roulette rolls one shows that well enough.

There often isn't even a chance to "mentor" anything because people sometimes just leave immediately at the start. If they don't leave then, they leave after the very first wipe.

This isn't just a waste of time for the person doing the roulette but also wasting the time of the people trying to queue it and not realizing that this content actually presents a challenge that they haven't really faced elsewhere in the game yet, that actually requires a degree of coordination.

Really wish the game would announce and push the PF a little bit harder than it does. It should do this for things like Castrum/Prae too, considering that if you DF these as a new player, you are pretty much *guaranteed* to get an awful experience.

I wouldn't even worry about that. Chances are some of the other people in your party will be useless too.

Can we ban mentors from being in my mentor roulette? I'm supposed to be helping noobs, not other mentors...

I think the worry is reasonable. People like ^ don't understand that not everyone has been playing the game since launch.

They should make Ex Trials a requirement for mentorship altogether

You are helping, by being there (at the max allowable item level too, which the new people in your party likely won't be)

Being a mentor doesn't mean you should know the ins and outs of every fight on the roulette by heart; that's a ridiculous expectation. What doesn't help encourage mentors is that some people literally do have this expectation.
