One of the most satisfying roulette experiences is clearing an EX primal and seeing multiple people get the achievement. It is honestly awesome knowing that I helped it happen.

The only time i begrudge getting an EX primal is when people refuse to listen, ask questions, or even try to follow through with tips and suggestions.

I think the main objective of mentor roulette is filling queues more so than teaching fights, otherwise undersized primal clears wouldn't count for unlocking mentor roulette. I'd bet the majority of people who started playing this game after HW have not a single clue about the mechs of Garuda, Ifrit or Titan EX.

I usually go SCH when I do Mentor Roulette so it's rare that I get anything other than a Guildhest or a dungeon backfill. But when I go DPS or get (un)lucky and get an EX primal, I'm ok with it. Even if we don't clear. If you do Mentor Roulette, you're ostensibly there to mentor people. And it's SUPER satisfying when a group that didn't even know what to do with Titan's tethered gaols gets a clear with only a few minutes to spare. =) It's incredibly uncommon, but even if it's a prog run, just seeing people going from clueless to simply needing some more practice is great.

Simply enough, don't go mentor roulette if you aren't prepared to get synced EX primals. That's what the roulette is for - putting people in the queues that have the highest priority for getting spots filled. And a lot of the time it's for those old fights that no one wants to do "properly" any more.

Pretty much. I've never abandoned an EX prog but there have been times when I'm glad someone took the hit so the rest of us could leave. Some people just cannot and will not learn.

If you remove the EX Primals you remove literally anything that presents a modicum of challenge in the roulette, and so that that point you have to ask yourself why you need to restrict it to Mentors in the first place? Better to rename it to something like "General Adventurer in Need" roulette and open it up for everyone if you want to make it that effortless to complete.
