To be fair, I know of games, not necessarily RPGs, that can easily be beaten in less time and can still be liked, at least by me anyway. Also Dark Brotherhood could be replayed for different dialogue and whatnot. My interpretation as a Hardcore Sonic Fan is more of a "I really am sick and tired of every review going out of it's way to bait Sonic fans for clicks and views and always forcing us to sit on the defense or on our back foot for liking these things," while simultaneously stuck looking at the many instances of SEGA's executive meddling preventing Sonic games from always getting that last bit of polish or a release that rival franchises do get.
Ahem.
That said, I didn't like Dark Brotherhood for several reasons. It's too easy, 6 hours long, wrote some of the characters poorly, and was basically an "episode 1" instead of a full game. The fact it's got so much non-game itself related bad juju is another story entirely, and I think that's stained it's reputation beyond repair in the eyes of many fans. Thanks EA. Thanks Ken Penders.
But, anywho.
