    They'd have to add stocks to every gun asset. Dunno how hard that would be. Maybe in the future, they will do what happened to WHM/BLM, where they had 1H wands and 2H staves. Some guns would be classified as pistols and some guns would be rifles. SE would have to add some rifle animations though.

    i dont mind the gun fu stuff considering our twin class (BRD) can go 360 no aim animation too

    at this point iam not surprise if SE decide to put MCH skill in the next expansion to go dual wield for their new skill animation lol, japan game has a bad habit of going overboard for menial stuff like this (unnecessary backflip, cartwheel, somersault, etc)

    it's more the case that it would be boring after a while.
    Movement isn't boring, even if its over the top.

    They aren't going to go out of their way to create a new set of boring and stale lookimg animations because a very small minority wants it.

    I can't really event comprehend why people want them to this, let alone the people complaining about unrealistic animations in a Fantasy game.

    What about disabling animations? I would just love having them disabled. I have leveled everything to 70 and the only animations I truly know is Steel Cyclone and Bloodspiller. But all the rest I couldn't tell you. DRG is like poke poke poke... Sorry DRG mains I just don't pay attention. MNK is left right left right maybe kick? Playing since 2.1 I just kind of get lost in everything else.

    Does anyone know if there's a setting for MCH that can make an audio cue when a shot procs the enhanced follow-up shot?

    This is the only class I've played in game where 80% of the time I'm tunneling the toolbar checking for procs (the text on the right gets lost in the heat of battle!)

    I am confused on what you mean old animation and less flippy shit? I was doing side flips in 3.0 with clear shot. The animations look very much the same to me. Could someone tell me what HW animation is different? I know some skill been removed but the core HW skills still look the same to me. Now SB skills look over the top and comical. Summoning like 10 bullets the side of your body to fly into your target like a magic missile. am wanting to know how I can not solo a primal with animations like that. Clearly I could shoot garlean airships out of the sky with bullets that big. Really made it look like your way underpower firing such big round only for them to do minor damage and not instant kills.

    I know what I'm about to say is probably going to sound silly, but I'd definitely only be okay with it as being an option as the OP suggested and it didn't hurt future MCH animations because one I actually really love the Heated Shot animations and two those animations are really the only reason I stayed with the job in the first place.

    The shift from HW MCH to SB MCH angered me quite unreasonably. My favorite part with MCH was challenging myself to always strive for bigger Wildfire numbers, and with Wildfire having such a reduced duration, Blank Shot doing no damage anymore, and Head Graze doing no damage anymore as well as getting removed made me so mad. That and Grenado Shot getting removed. Didn't like that. The Heat mechanic seemed stupid and was annoying to keep track of, to boot. Then I got the heated shots. All of that rage about the job just got overwhelmed by the "THIS IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!" and went away, haven't questioned my decision to main MCH since. Even during the "No MCH" period of early SB.

    I still remember when someone told me in a Susano EX duty finder run, someone resented my presence so much that at the end when the dog dropped and I didn't win it, that person told me "MCHs don't get doggos" and left. Funny story: I didn't win the dog because I already had it and couldn't roll on it. Won it on my second Susano run, actually. Apparently MCHs DO win Doggos, but I digress. Point is, okay as long as it's an option and doesn't screw with future animations MCH gets.
