What are the most common reasons people don't dps?

Forgive me if I misunderstood but you suggested that SilentVoice wouldn't like to DPS because they have a hard time handling both DPS and healing. All I am saying is that I don't think that's the case for everyone because you can very easily play DPS without every using a support ability and the vast majority of people won't bat an eye. If someone is getting stressed out trying to juggle both DPS and healing while on a healing class, they may just find it easier to focus on only the one. That's all. Nothing about not playing your class to the fullest or anything like that.

Oh no, not at all

I guess I just feel like ultimately the pressure on a dps to perform well (and the visibility of a dps performing poorly) spikes so much in higher end content that if raiding on a healer was intimidating I don't know how someone could handle the pressure on a dps. I feel like there is more pressure on a dps to perform at their highest level especially compared to the complete opposite being true through all casual content where dps don't need to do well ever and almost any wipe is the tank or healer's fault.
