Well if we're on the topic of colored chocobo's, I'd like to say I'd enjoy the style of breeding FF7 had where it's tiered.

Where 2 Yellow choco's can make a blue or green, and then a variation of those can make a black choco, and then mixing a black choco with a well tamed yellow can make a gold chocobo. It'd be nice to see people who've put a lot of work into it running around with crazy awesome gold chocobos :O

Yes, I hope it has traits that carry on following Mendelian inheritance. Would make for an interesting project.

To your point regarding crafting end-game gear:

Sit in town, craft better gear, then don't raid because you have the best gear? Um.. k.

You say that all you'd need to do is sit in town, craft, and get end game gear that way, yes?

When the first NMs came out, the best items were made by crafters. Did you feel that "Sit in town, craft better gear, then don't raid because you have the best gear?" was the standard way of getting the best gear (Barbarian Bardiche, Aeolean Scimitar, Champion Lance, Dodore Doublet) back then?

Did you think that the process was too heavily skewed in the crafters' favor back then?
