Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

None of them have been Second Lieutenants and leaders of an entire Squadron, though (and no adult would be pleased to have a child being their leader/boss. It'd be humiliating).
That's one of my lore issues with children being playable. Another is that it breaks immersion when you see hundreds/thousands of kids running about completely unphased by war, death, corruption and betrayal.

FF6 had Relm and Gau, ff9 had vivi and eiko, 12 had vaan, penello, larsa, half of the party in 13 were underage ... then there is the older teens like rikku, yuffi, zidane, garnet, ramza...
I'm not advocating for children as playable characters just pointing out how the series has no problems throwing child protagonists on the frontlines... as for children as leaders or fighting in wars look back at some of the child emperors and kings, look at Viking children who would start raiding as soon as their balls dropped... again not advocating...

I mean, I imagine, they brought in the XII bangaa, I can only hope that they would bring in Viera in the same manner. I never saw Viera as some moe-blob-waifus, even back in the FFTA games, soooo all we can do is wait, hope and keep letting SE know what we want.

There's so much stuff in this game that just makes it very difficult, if not, impossible for children to ever be playable.

For example, being drugged in 3.2.

I do hope the male option for Viera height maxes out to that of a female midlander, while female Viera stay more akin to female Roegadyn. Given what they did with AuRa, i say the reverse would be welcome.

An old piece of art i have seen around. I would hope the digitigrade leges/ feet could be added to something like this, aswell as a few more bestial features. (possibly thicker hair on forearms and shins, ect...)

Where's the tail?

I hope they don’t have tails like in 12. You’d think with most players having tails SE would account for that but nope. The clipping ruins so many gear sets.

the tail is more visible in the middle image! i think the third one is to show the entire back without the coat and without the tail. personally i feel i can take either a tail or no tail... leaning more towards no tail bc we already have 2 races that have them :v

Honestly tail or no tail could be a clan thing.

Right now the two clans introduced with Revenant Wings had differences so minor that SE would need to add some other extraneous detail besides the current ear lengths. (Feol Viera had light skin and blond hair, too, but that would amount to little in a game like FFXIV were hair and skin color is freely selected.)

Although, I would like them to play with the known lore of original Viera finding their Feol cousins revolting and the men and women building completely seperate tribes and avoiding interaction beyond breeding needs.

No I meant the protagonist is clearly not unphased as the whole Dark Knight story is about you having enough of all the crap you have to go through.
