...honestly its better that its ugly reskins given how hard it can be to actually get dungeon gear to drop. People really hated the rng for the skalla gear, for example.

To be honest, any of them looks like it could protect your body from anything.
I like heavy armor legs and hands, nothing else.

Hmm. I find it unusual for them to add two plated outfits and none are for tanks. The game usually has a tank and dragoon plated usually very similarly. I see what you saw in the video, but it would contradict their gear designs to be as what you say.

Because the tanks already have a version of that set from Castrum Abania. The lalafell is the tank set, which is a recolor of the Dragoon set from Castrum Abania. They are recolors of the Abania sets while also being shuffled to different classes.

They're definitely the same models as the Castrum Abania sets. I recognize the tank and ranged sets. Also given that the Skalla gear is dyeable, I'd wager that this stuff will be too.

I doubt it. Skalla got dyable gear because it was released as the only new dungeon in that patch. Since there are two dungeons this patch I bet it's not dyable (But I bet the gear we get in the lone dungeon from the patch after 4.2 will have dyable gear again, to get people to run it.)

For real, though, hope they continue the Skalla trend and have this gear be dyeable.

I think the Skalla was dyeable because it was based on one of the 3 contest winners. 2/3 winning designs are dyeable, the caster based set will probs be too.

Yoshi-P had been asked about the 4.2 dungeon gear being dyeable, during the new year's server visits, to which he replied with: "If i remember correctly, you can't..."
So I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Maaaan, there never seems to be any decent looking gear for ninja's unless it's job specific. Otherwise we are just palette swaps of monk/samurai. Same for tanks and dragoons. They should really spend more time making gear look unique for each job so that it would actually get me to collect it as glamour.
