Adressing the roots of the housing problem

There's nothing to suggest, at present, that they aren't grandfathering in currently owned properties.

Further, while many are delighted that the *shakefist* accursed house hoarders *shakefist* might lose a house or two, their fixation on that blinds them to one simple truth: Houses will be harder than ever to acquire.

Why? The timer imposed after a plot is relinquished (and presumably auto-demolished). Going forward, you will no longer be able to buy a house from a flipper. You will no longer be able to give (or receive) a house to (from) a friend when you (they) quit. You will not be able to turn your personal house into an FC house (or vice versa). When you spot a newly-demolished house, you're going to have to compete for it.

Why? Because during that imposed timer, anyone looking at the Ward (and anyone they inform) will see that the plot is available to purchase.

Also lol at the bit about them letting you share your house with alts.

With something like that though(and this is something I personally can't answer, for two reasons: 1. I don't have a house; 2. I don't use alts), is it possible to give a trusted friend tenant designation, and then increase their powers to invite other tenants, thus letting your alt become one as well? Or is that only something FCs can actively do?

That might be something they should look into then I think. Would help people who want a house for all their characters not have to buy multiple(though, now if they are on the same server, they can't anyways).

I welcome the restriction of having one FC property and one private property per world, however, SE will have to compensate multiple characters under the same world by allowing them to have full access to the one private property owned by any one of those characters, that is a must and it would make it all the more fun in my case, the sense of being part of a family inside the game would be much better!...

On the same matter, what will happen to players whom have more than one private property under the same world, will all of their homes but a single one be expropriated by the game!?... If that was the case then they should allow such players to choose the one property they want to retain, otherwise, the system would select the most expensive one to be left untouched!...

I was preparing three of my alts (all on the same world) to buy their own homes in patch 4.2, I had all the money ready but now that it will no longer be possible I demand that SE allows all of my characters to share the same private property!...

They should just do it automatically. If player X owns a personal house, all characters of player X should have access to it.

Two questions:

1) Would the individual ban apply to all housing or just new wards, and if so, a) why, and b) wtf?
2) Shouldn't the name of this thread actually be called "Adressing the foundation of the housing problem"?

I own multiple houses in a single Ward, I don't mind giving up one or two, but how exactly will this update, force me to keep just one? I own most of the grade 1 plots and don't want to login to find the system automatically removed all but one of them without me choosing which one to keep (to be safe i might just fire sale them so i don't have to worry about possibly losing my favorite), plus would we be refunded the plot cost or just kicked out?
