In my defense, Lalafells don't exactly age as visibly as other races do, so I've never worried about it as much.

HORROR
My kitty getting older, wrinkles. Hopping around with a walking stick.....
How that would work with a bow escapes me, i'd have to drop the stick
and then i wouldnt be able to pick it back up. Arthritis you know
On a more serious note, guess i havent been around long enough to wish for change. Not all change is good by the way.

Just like everything else in life, you grow in and out of things. I fall in and out of love with 14, right now being a regressive stage. Still, I find the game enjoyable enough to continue investing time into it, and I don’t intend on leaving anytime soon.

Im only directing this question to those who started from 2.0 because that's when I started. Obviously if 2.0 to 4.15 had made the same leaps and bounds 1.0 made to 2.0, I wouldn't be complaining. Its just a question. Not trying to trigger debates and conversations about the definition of what's considered "change."
And don't get too fixated on the dating part. I threw that in there just too emphasize how one may outgrow something they once loved. Forget I even mentioned it.
Happily married. Not happily subbed.
Back to the point. As a gamer, I obviously grow up over time and often want different things in video games as a result. What was fun one year, may be annoying the next. All im asking is if SE has done enough for the game since 2.0 to keep up with your changing gaming habits and expectations.
If you're literally the same gamer you were back then, disregard.

I think the way this game is built, is perfect for my gaming needs both 2.0 and now.
It's not meant to be the only thing you play. The spaces inbetween patches are perfect for delving into new games.
I've always been a multi-game gamer and always will be. The space helps keep everything fresh and new without getting stale.
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
Well, I can say I feel the content cycle is "feeling old". My hopes are Eureka addresses my concerns as a non-raider who plays the game far too much.

Ok so I think the unchanging endgame formula is the main complaint from people who are tired of the game. While many new kinds of content have been added since 2.0, they've all been side things that don't interfere with the core model. The core being 4 raid bosses every 6-7 months which is the only way to get the highest item level equipment, and a weekly allowance of tome currency to gradually fill in some of the gaps, the most efficient earner being expert roulette.
Other content like treasure maps and pvp get ignored by most players in part because they don't form part of the endgame pursuit of highest item level equipment, don't offer any pathway to alternative endgame growth of our characters. This is where Eureka comes in. A new type of content that provides alternative armor to the raid/tome stuff and thus has potential to become people's new core activity if the content is enjoyable. People looking for a shakeup to the formula should watch that space closely.

Honestly I'm waiting for eureka when they said their adding something never seen in the current game first thing popped into my head was horizontal progression >.> yes please but not too overboard.

Been here since 1.0. I play maybe few hours a day just to pass time or I would just be watching movies and anime instead.
Just have an affair and keep it hidden from FFXIV. It spices things up and then you'll get bored of your new lover and you'll enjoy FFXIV again.
