With that kind of social justice warrioring mindset that the OP has I'd kick him too.
The problem is with you if you're getting kicked all the time.
You know what you do if you get an unfair kick? You report it and you move on with your life.
Normally I ignore players who whine and soapbox/posture like this like some real life warrior of light out to correct all evils in the world instead of learning to be more well adjusted and skilled at handling people who dislike you.
The world and life are not "fair" in your context, but they are fair in the raw context of existence. Not yours or some human concocted utopian ideal. The sooner the OP and others reading this remember this, the sooner we're more likely to treat each other better.
Unfortunately explaining this to people like the OP has felt like an impossible task, as they are often just consumed by their narcissism and social justice mindset.
Glad to see the community here stands up to people like this.
4 man: Initiator +1 YES
8 man: Initiator +3 YES
The to be kicked person doesn't count in, so in 4 mans you have 3 people and in 8 mans 7, you have to get more then the half of it to kick him, initiator counts as YES, so you need half of the rest to kick a person.
thats ridiculous, the person that gets dismissed is still part of the party. Just because 1 person want him gone another said ok, that doesnt stop him from been part of the party. if 1 said no, he is assumed no, then its 2 and 2.
say if he elected to kick the guy that initiated the dismiss only 1 yes vote is needed then the guy that wanted to kick him could've been kicked himself. it just come down to who initiated it first. This is so wrong, should be corrected. At a minimum needs 3 vote otherwise the function shouldnt even be therein such small instances.
8 man should require 4 not three.
And there should be a penalty for always voting dismiss. If you dont like so many ppl find your own team stop him from using duty finder.
Vote dismiss is disruptive behaviour and this is promoting it and allowing bully and abuse. More people need to stand up for this to be corrected.
Or alternatively more people need to be in game and abuse this feature kick up a storm then maybe they will do something about it. This game isnt worth it if this is the behaviour of the players, they cant just kick anyone they dislike. If its up to me I'd kick everyone one of those people.
I play DPS and so have the longest queues of all three roles. I will not make my wait to clear content longer by unnecessarily vote kicking people on a whim, and I'm sure the vast majority feel the same way.
There is absolutely no evidence of players 'abusing' vote kick simply because 'they don't like them'. If you get kicked its for a reason, such as toxic behaviour, gong AFK unannounced and for too long, and poor gameplay. People like the OP then come whining to the forums expecting others to feel sorry for them but the truth is you are responsible for your own actions, and if you do something to piss off a party and get kicked then you only have yourself to blame. Play well, communicate politely and practice good etiquette and I guarantee you will never, ever get kicked.
Your jumps of... "logic" are hard to follow.
Who are "those people"? Who is abusing the system? You are complaining that some shady ne'er-do-wells are kicking people on a whim and then advocate for people to do the exact thing you are complaining about to try and fix it? What? That's literally making an issue out of nothing. You are trying to make something that rarely happens into something much bigger than it actually is.
You want to create more instances of vote kick abuse to prove that vote kick abuse occurs? Do you understand how absolutely asinine that is?
I've been trying to Heal main for the last week now and my friend, who's a Tank Pally main keeps getting kicked after I let the DPS people die because they'll pull 20 or so mobs ahead of the Tank and kick him for Harassment. I'll sit there and press no but he still gets kicked anyways. This has happened a few times now within the week and if that isn't Abuse then I don't know what is.
After He got kicked the last time, I asked why they'd did it and they simply replied, "Because he wasn't going faster, pulling more ads." >.>
And I'm not asking for it to be removed by the way. It's an important feature that I agree should stay.

Only reason ive seen someone get kicked is for going offline or people who fake dc(usually mentors who dont want to do that dungeon)Seriously, you might as well just remove it. People rarely get kicked for legitimate reasons. 9 times out of 10 it's because someone said something someone else simply disagrees with and the other two just don't care enough to not hit yes.
Actually check the reports and you'd see the system doesn't work as intended.
If you're getting kicked a lot then you're probably being quit offensive to your team mates.
