Titan outfit for boys! eh... uh... oh! just imagine...

On a serious note: I'd like it, but not in the mogstation. Make it a crafteable item or something that drops from the boss like a bird. Although I think that these outfits are part of the boss' textures, I don't know how hard would it be to separate them and adapt them to other races. I can't see it happening, but it would be really nice to have. I always loved her outfit.

So you're right, it doesn't work that way - the question is whether or not SE wants to do it, and if they do, it's more than possible. This isn't a reason why they shouldn't make this for all genders.
Which is... exactly what I said? A piece of gear that looks differently depending on gender, still has two models that have to be designed separately.

I'm honestly not really sure what you're trying to say with your post. My post didn't contain any reasoning on why they should or shouldn't adjust the set to suit the male model, just why they can't put the female version on the male model without adjustments.

    Mostly in response to this

then I can't see it being available for males.
The technicalities of it don't even matter, whether or not male charas could wear that thing is up to SE to decide, and that brings with it the bitterness and resentment that usually comes with discussing outfits that likely will be locked to the male charas and not even get an equivalent to balance things out. Though if they thought it was ok for everyone to wear the damned Shiva caster and healer Lore sets, they have no excuses to gender lock this (or anything really).

I think he meant that guys too can have it exactly as it is, just also scaled to match our proportions. We can already run around in nothing but fantasy Speedos, skirts, and frilly hats already if we want to- why not just skip the secondary design process and scale the existing outfit for all races and genders?

I am all for primal themed gear in general. It'd be great if both male and female versions are released, and for the love of God, not in the cash shop. As mentioned before, make them craftable using mats from the EX fights, or achievement related for running them a certain number of times.

At the very least, it'd be interesting to see what designs people can come up with.

As long as the outfit magically increases the bust size of lady characters to where it is similar to Sophia's bust size, then people will most likely buy it from mogstation... and I would be okay with that...

I'd much rather it keep the character's size....

People chose that setting for a reason.
    They like it. ;P

Of course the technicalities matter, because that's the only thing I focused on in my post. Male models can't wear the female version of a set. Considering the female version is the standard version of the set (cause, y'know, Sophia is female), they'd have to make a male version for it to even work on a male model. The sentence you're referring to already indicates on what they'd decide on, in that scenario: "If they simply decide to scale the set down, to work with each female model, then I can't see it being available for males."
You'd be right about the sentence following it. Even if SE decides to do some general adjustments to the female version, it'd still be up to them if they want to go through the effort of developing a male version.

That's all nice and well, but that's not the point of my post. I couldn't care less if you want to wear a female set ingame, but that doesn't remove the fact that you can't copy a set that works on female model, and paste it onto a male model. That "secondary design process" will still be a thing, even if the two sets look similar, just to ensure that the set works on a male model.

And I think you're misunderstanding me, though I could have worded it better. By "secondary design process" I mean altering the look of the outfit- it's something SE does when they make two versions of something. Usually girls get skirts and guys get pants, some tops are altered to include a bra for women, sometimes the outfits are completely different like the Expedition set, etc.. I'm well aware you can't just CTRL+C, CTRL+V, and stretch it to make it fit. But they can skip the "redesign so guys get fugly pants" bit and go right to the "make it work on all the male models" part.

Which historically they seem adverse to doing, hence some of us explicitly asking for EVERYONE to get the cool thing, not just those who happen to match the gender of the original wearer. I don't want to turn this nice request thread into another battle over why SE seems to cater to female avatars, but there's no harm in players making SE aware that yes we want this cool sexy thing too, even if it strays from orthodox ideas of what men look good in. I wouldn't wear the bottom, honestly- I don't go in for banana hammocks. But the top, arm bands, and boots are really cool and I'd like to experiment glamouring them on my character.

The argument here stems from semantics, I feel like. When you say modifications, you mean technical ones I don't really care for and ones that also include the 'scaling' of the outfit for only female characters - I cannot imagine a pure scaling process that would let a female Roe and a female Lala wear the same thing out of the box (and hey you can let male Lalas wear it already at this point, it's a start!). Other modifications will be necessary as well as the body types are too different, I think. Now when I say modifications, it's more the female DRGs having a huge gap in their AF1 armor whereas the males do not, or any other assortment of actual design changes.

    (cause, y'know, Sophia is female)
And so was Shiva, and Ifrit is male, yet everyone can still wear the Lore sets just fine.
