Potential dumb question about Sch stats.

Heya, so while I'm leveling up Pld to 70, I'd figured I'd also do all the quest for Sch since I finished level Smn. While playing with Sch, I find I enjoy using it more than Ast and I may make it my go to healer job for when I'm made to heal and was just wondering what stats I should be melding onto gear for Sch? I figure crit is the most obvious because of Adlo, but what would come after Crit?

You're right about crit. After that it's healer/playstyle discretion. Det is a good all rounded one.

The hardcore stat number crunching takes time and I haven't seen anyone release exact stat weights yet. That said, det seems to be stronger at the moment. This may change with future patches as scaling to higher ilvls sometimes means one stat overtakes another. It's also possible some new data might come along showing DH was better all along. DH also only affects DPS skills and not heals, so there's that to consider.

DH is still not a bad choice, however. And there's the small convenience of never having any gear that already has capped DH.

Like Chii says, Crit is always better than DH, so if you do meld DH, it should come after crit.

SCH doesn't get so much return from sps since it has many oGCDs.

Piety is hard to say. Every time I try to raid on SCH I run into issues with my group being used to WHM/AST outputs, so I haven't really had a chance to test how its MP holds up under the most strenuous conditions. Maybe someone else will have an answer on that one.

Wait, do you mean to say that Sch is not as desired as Whm/Ast are? Or am I misunderstanding?

SCH has the top single-target DPS of all healers, brings a number of buffs, and is very much desired.

I'm actually kind of criticizing my raid team a bit. They're inflexible and can't adjust xP SCH tends to work a bit differently, which means different heal timings, etc.

Ah, I understand. I was a bit worried as I did not want to go back to Ast healing as I was not enjoying it at all and it just ended up feeling overly hectic to me while not being able to really do any dps. Sch so far has felt fantastic to me and even when I was missing the majority of my level 52-70 abilities, I was able to heal level 70 dungeons much more comfortably and was even able to dps a bit more often.

SCH mp managemeny sorta comes down to their co-healer. Just using your gcd spells for shields and dps usually balances out with the occassional Energy Drain and Lucid Dreaming, but if we have to pick up the healing slack with physick (because we just used all 3 aetherflow on lustrates and indom) and ET+Succor then our mp noticeably dips and can take a while to get back without a mana shift. Extended over a long fight and I've run on no mp for the last 3 minutes waiting for Aetherflow to come back

From what I have gathered DH doesn't do enough for healers to warrant melding. Maybe if you want to be the top of the top DPS, but in general I would personally go CRIT > DET. After that maybe I would meld DH because I'm not a very big fan of SpS on any healer. SCH, when you are just starting out, may also benefit from PIE.
