The Legend of Wyvern

I really don't remember about Dragoon specifically, but, in terms of lore, Ishgard is on an active war against Dragonkin, their knights use chocobos to go to war. I will accept the lore can be arrange in some ways, but going from blatantly open war against Dragons to have them as pets? I don't know.

Lastly, in terms of development costs and resources, which I will not claim to know much about, but definitely sounds like balancing two classes for the cost of one, creating and adding new WS's, maybe creating two sets of armour and weapons for Dragoons with wyvern out or not, etc.

Pets? Could be more like slaves, it wouldn't be the first time in fantasy that man uses Dragon to kill other Dragons. Look at the lore in Game of Thrones or the new game Skyrim (you kill Dragons but are able to call a Dragon to aid you...eventually in the story, once you get powerful enough)

Just saying, but that being said I don't a Wyvern, this run, they have a nice balance of Pet to no pet through out the series and I like it when then flip flop between the two.

A very reasonable and valid opinion. I feel, however, that flip-flopping between having/not a pet in this release of Final Fantasy doesn't exactly translate as a good enough reason to make the final decision in the end. Not alone at least.

I am gonna pose an idea here. Make a choice where you can do the story quest to obtain the job, and at the end you get the opurtunity to chose your allegiance. Either the dragoons of ishgard, or the wyverns of eorzea. This choice will affect your skills and if you have a pet or not. What do you guys think?

I personally love the idea of questing to obtain a pet Wyvern. This would enable us to have a larger back-story about how you two met and on what terms. Theoretically you wouldn't even lose the option to dismiss your Wyvern when needed so I'm all for it!

I would imagine that these ideas we have take time and money to implement into the game; but then again what idea is doesn't. So that shouldn't be an issue. I wonder what input a developer would have on this topic.
