Don't Take Blank Request.
Ah, I can just imagine the salt. God forbid you give something to one group and not the other, right?![]()
It sure is fun to have to wait two years and counting on a stupid male bunny outfit that we have zero proof is even real.
If it was done on Roegadyn and Hyur, why haven't we seen it yet?

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Ah yes, the two genders, dresses and capes. Capes aren't even considered a masculine clothing item, why would you make this distinction? All it's doing is asking for them to do it only to unlock capes because of the overwhelming demands to give ladies capes too.
It IS different, you're not wrong - You can't do anything about whether or not you can have a house. You can, however, Fantasia into a lady, as many people in this thread alone have testified to doing because of the glamour situation. Which is not a valid workaround as far as I'm concerned because this is still a situation we shouldn't be in.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
At this point I'd really just like absolutely all clothing options in the game to just be unisex.
Though, I will say as an opinion that male miqo'te probably could do with better facial hair options. Most of what exists is kinda... well, wispy-ish or like "I missed this spot while shaving" to me.
Or heck, let someone play Gandalf with the big beard.
The issue with specifically making unisex gear and hairstyle designs is that it risks leading to most gear being designed to be either feminine or androgynous. The people who enjoy dressing up their male characters in such a manner do not mind, naturally, though those of us who want to dress our characters based around conventional male beauty standards or just 'Rule of Cool' end up being screwed over. More variety in general would be neat and as part of that variety I think it's best that gender locks remain in place for some gear so there's stuff that can specifically be designed with the male models in mind.
Some more armor themes i would like to see.

“Equippable by all” doesn’t need to mean “unisex clothing”. It can mean making masculine clothes and feminine clothes and letting players equip whatever things they want. The issue with specifically making unisex gear and hairstyle designs is that it risks leading to most gear being designed to be either feminine or androgynous. Unfortunately while it doesn't need to mean it, the XIV gear design team refuses to build around male bodies as the male bunny outfit is the best example about how androgynous/feminine clothing will be prevalent.
Another good example is the chest gap on the Hellfire Striking/Fending set, clearly that was designed for a more feminine chest, but it worked well for male Roegadyn and Highlanders.
The design devs think it's icky to accentuate and build around male features/bodies but approve risqué gear for females. What's hilarious is that it's sexism, females are 'normal' to have the opportunity to look like harlots, but males? Nope, no such thing as a male getting dressed in risqué gear. I doubt it's JP culture either considering JP servers asked about it in the recent visit Yoshi did.
