has anyone tried using nin's hide in the basement of haukke manor to bypass all the adds and nab the key? tried it for the second time and was actually successful! i was with a bunch of sprouts and i think they appreciated that, plus all the little tips i was giving out. walked away with 3 comms :')

No no. They didn't raise into the pillars. They raised as Hasmal jumped away and then walked into the pillars.

And those pillars have AoE markers before they fall, correct? Sounds like this player intentionally walked into the AoE and wanted to be carried... or they think AoE's = safe zones?

I was witness to possibly the most anime-esque, power of friendship and hope comeback in Rabanaster history. No one kills their bubble fighting Mateus, right? So there were no safe zones, guaranteed wipe. Except Alliance B had other plans. Their tank popped lb and saved themself, a dps and both healers. Every other person in the raid died. My fc mate and I see this and return to the beginning right away. By the time we've run back, most of the raid has been raised and slowly gaining momentum. I was one of the healers and our third fc mate was the other, new healer, (who actually did not hit return) so major props to him for managing to pick up the slack as well. Alliance B proceeded to carry us through Hashmal after our alliance was wiped by a double stack marker, and I attempted to pay it forward raising any of their healers or tank when they fell through the rest of the run. I wish I could comm a different alliance because those 3 players were true MVPs.

Wanted to practice on a secondary DPS class last night so signed up for Omega NM. Up pops O3 and off we go. Load in and at least a DPS and tank are watching cutscene so I believe at least those two are new to the fight. Boss is pulled and it rapidly goes downhill from there. I'll ignore all the mistakes made because I get new people to a fight can make mistakes, what the real issue was spotted when we load in for puzzle time in a half wipe state.

We had a CNJ in the party. Not a WHM, a CNJ! With lvl 60 accessories! They had an augmented lvl70 weapon and a few other augmented body parts. We assumed a troll so (especially with their edgy edgelord character name) after our inevitable wipe, so we kicked them. Replaced by an actual WHM who allowed us to get through the duty with considerable less issue.

I spied on their Lodestone after the fight to find out this individual was an officer in a 500+ strong FC and only had CNJ lvld (minus a lvl70 miner) their main gear suggested that they had run Raban and O4 anything from 4-7 times to get this gear. I play on PS4 so sadly can't parse and tell how much of a hindrance they were really on our team (or other teams they had run with) which they obviously were without the skills their job stone provides. I'm frankly more shocked that this person is a position of power in such a large guild yet still runs around without a soulstone. Does no one in their guild care?

I reckon maybe the FC is full of players with no soulstone or this player who is a officer has influence, which makes it hard for other FC members to do something about. Reminds me of the good old days in World of Warcraft. The Guildleader let his wife join guild and our raiding team. She underpreformed, got bad gear, bad enchanting and gems etc, yet nobody complained, because nobody wanted to get on the guildleaders bad side.

Its also possible, that nobody in the FC gives a damn, I mean 500+ members tend to be filled with cliques and alot of loners, atleast it was in the big guilds that I have joined in the past. Downside of huge guilds is that people form small groups and dont associate with the FC members outside this group.

Ahhh. This reminds me of a peculiar run in Weeping, back before SB, when we discovered one of the players was a THM. Not BLM. THM. And he claimed to be putting out the highest DPS (to the point that he implied he was carrying us). He was mocked and kicked accordingly.

I think there are some people out there who are Omni (as in all things lvl 60/70) and have been for a while and do silly stuff like that to... I guess challenge themselves?

Sounds like this CNJ was someone's alt. I'm always suspicious when people only have one char at max level, although with jump potions I suppose it's a bit more commonplace.

Please do not judge all people with only one class on a character this way*. Most of my characters only have one class leveled because I'm an altaholic. It's just how I want to play. Other than using a few MSQ skip potions I leveled them all using either the MSQ or dungeon roulettes. I know it's not very efficient but it's just how I like to play.



*I'm not saying you are judging all players this way or that you said you did. Just asking to give some of us a chance.

I've never wanted to quit the game as much as I've done today.

Ala Mhigo for expert roulette with randoms. We wipe to the first pull. Not a speed pull, literally, the first pull. SCH must have been asleep or something, I don't know.

I die on the second pack of mobs with the tri-wheelers, pulled hate even after Shadewalkering the tank.

Tank tries to speedpull the gorillas after the first boss as well as the pugs. Fails miserably.

At this point, three strikes and I have to say something. "I've never wiped in here before, lol..."

Three "you don't have to play at top savage level all the time, lol" responses later, I'm an elitist and an elitist that is fucking gone.

I only suspect an alt when I see one class leveled. Nothing more. To each their own.

Popped into Kugane castle for expert roulette, someone had to afk for a sec so I went to check gear.
WHM in 310 or so, BRD in 290-300, BLM in... oh god level 68 gear.

But, uncharacteristically for this thread, he was very receptive to my recommendation to do his job quests after the dungeon.
The run itself went fine, even if really slow (did you know Yojimbo summons a second round of dragon heads in place of a third round of coin gathering?). The others were apparently a group of friends, and made some small talk along the way. Nice run overall.

Just wondering because that dungeon was part of release, would you of tolerated that In the drowned city of Sklla? the entry requirement is i300, when the BLM had a i285 weapon with no foul. Plus they where not using thunder or fire II regularly for packs.

As far as i am understanding, "There is no excuse to not having your skills, acceptable gear, and job knowledge in current content"
