You do realize what exclusive means right? The one in fan fare had a type of bonus vs the cash shop one which is more for glamour. Now if you wish to be more logical as an item exclusive is an item or story published or broadcast by only one source. ( Source being SE ) which in this case you can get at cash shop. It would would be different if it stated limited edition or something along those lines.

It feels to me like it would make sense to just give out these codes for buying the item, not for buying it early, as the purchases are partially pretty pricey. The 1.0 items are something different, since you can't play 1.0 anymore - but you very much can buy physical merchandise.
