    The reason all content in the gold saucer dies is because they have simply not been updated at all and there is no long-term mpg prize worth grinding those games to get. SE can easily revitalized any and I mean absolutely any past content if they added new rewards. Fenrir use to be a prize players grind for just like the primals puppies. They have a low droprate and there is no 99 token exchange so players grind well above the 99 token to get those puppies. Otherwise stormblood primal will be dead content too.

    I'd prefer dev resources used on other content. This seems like something that would only appeal to a fraction of the already relatively niche PVP community.

    Not true. The current PvP limitation is the game rely too much on jobs and roles, I can see the use of mechs in RW to reduce that and they've been doing it gradually. Let me put it a simple way. PvP to me is like speaking to someone. In another MMO where it's stamina-based, every hit I do is a single word, it costs air and I fully expect them to talk back to me. In here the different jobs/roles are like different languages, balancing them means translating every word. Now RW is a mixed of roles and mechs but I can see blitzball as something that everyone have same skills to play with.

    I like Blitzball. I'd love to see it, but if you brand it as "PvP", people will arbitrarily avoid it or call it wasted development.

    It's not about roles or lack thereof, it's that PVP is already niche content that most players do not engage in on a meaningful level, if at all. Blitzball as a PVP mode would be a niche that would appeal to a fraction of those that are interested in PVP. Blitzball as a PVE mode would go the way of Chocobo racing.

    Wait, you mean completely gutting PvP and making into some unbalanced, 9-button shadow of its former self, while adding XP and attracting all the people that shunned and avoided it when it actually was better, and completely alienating/all but destroying the dedicated community it once had DIDN'T make it a huge success with a mass appeal? You mean SE's reports of PvP participation increasing since asinine changes such as the Feast chat ban went through despite almost-unanimous community feedback might actually be skewed and not based on actual facts?

    I can't believe it. . .

They would be developing something that will die.

    Well, I'd love blitzball if they did it right. "not sure what (right) would be in this game", but I'd love to see it implemented. Heck wouldn't it be cool if we could get water based glam weapons for achievements? Have the astro globe be a blitzball, for pal you could get Tidus' brother sword, stuff like that.

    Oh, and by the way. PVP IS cool...

    Last Edit: Also, to add onto that...what if they made this a way to unlock a whole giant sleuth of beach related type glams. Summer glams and the like. I'm sure if they were to add these types of glams for achievements, drops, wins, and "The Feast" type of rewards for blitzball only. Blitzball would probably be one of the most wanted things, they could easily always add more rewards into the pool of glams (no pun intended) This would scream to the girls who go after those tight, short, revealing, type of glams. And for us bros, it'd be nice to get actual cool looking summer attire! I can already imagine the flocks of peoples minds changing...
