Weeping City on RDM.

Forgall was all sorts of... not fun. 6/8 of my party simply would not stay alive and both healers together died to mega death at least 3 times each. I had to keep the tank alive with vercure up until the end. I basically carried on a dps. 0 commendations. I weep (in weeping city, the city of wee... okay that's old). Oh and only myself and the tank stacked for markers. Everyone else in the party turned into a frog. Consequently the tank later on was the only one I could stack with.

On the plus side at least no one tried to yell at me to use Verraise, a 64 skill in 60 content.

Did leveling roulette with me tanking and two FC mates both DPS'ing, and wound up in Sastasha.

The healer had me confused when I noticed all he was doing was spamming Cure spells that were healing for about a fourth or so of what a normal Cure spell should be healing for.

When I first read this I was going to reply "did he have Cleric Stance on?" But then I remember thats no longer an issue. XD

It's funny/sad/annoying that people still find way to make healing harder on themselves even though one of the biggest offenders for this happening has been removed. Oh, and to add to what you said about vendors. You also get some pieces from doing Class quests so.. as well as Hall of the Novice.

What was more depressing was that one of our DPS was a Summoner, and he was able to pump out more healing just spamming Physick.

He had also never heard of Hall of the Novice because his main was a boosted Bard. He brought up class quests too, but he didn't show any signs of having done them.

I actually have a story to share here for once. First time in 4ish years of playing.

Had an experience in Shinryu story.

I join in prog on my alt which I just levelled to 70. As I enter, I see the party is missing a tank and a DPS. While we wait, a rdm joins who proceeds to pull the boss. We are still waiting for the party to fill so no one does anything and we wipe. No big deal.
However, they proceed to do it again and again. I asked them politely to stop so we don't end up having people with broken gear when the party finally fills. Of course I am ignored, and they continue to pull and we wipe.

Finally the party fills, and you'd think that would be the end of their fun, but nope. They pull immediately. No one is ready, and we wipe. The WHM asks for a moment to put lucid back on her cross class but the rdm denies this by immediately pulling again. To make matters worse, they start taunting the WHM. Saying they're bad and shouldn't need Lucid.

To make it even worse, this rdm is a Mentor and there are several sprouts in the party. One party member mentions they have a mentor crown, and should act the part. They respond by saying they are, and calling people babies for not preparing fast enough.

Well I finally managed to get the vote dismiss in before they pulled, and they were booted. I made a report, and encouraged others to do the same. I was contacted by Gm Rhinedynast very quickly, and they asked me to walk them through what happened, so I did with the same story I just recounted.

This isn't a rant or anything but something I found rather funny. So I queue for Leveling on my 55 SCH for quick EXP (and Healer is in Need). Get dropped into Tam Tara and think to myself "self, let's see how far we can get without casting Physick". Yeah... even though the tank was very new and didn't know how to really hold hate at all... the dungeon was literally 1 Tank, 3 DPS, and a Faerie. I didn't cast a single heal the entire run. Selene did all the heavy lifting.

And yes I'm aware Tam Tara is a really low level, but it was still fun since I main WHM and have to constantly juggle heals and DPS.

I had a somewhat similar experience in Tam-Tara - with friends rather than through the duty finder, but we accidentally went for levelling roulette with a tank and three ranged DPS - and decided to give it a try to fill in the time before we could vote abandon.

And we made it all the way through.

After the first few rooms, our tank had the idea of running and dodging because the rest of us didn’t need the enemies to stay still, and it worked brilliantly. We only just made it through the boss battle, but it was so good to see that victory screen!

...Or the ones that respawn MID boss, because "sorry, I thought that was a rez", and proceed to sit outside till the fight is over.

...Yeah, that has stopped being a valid excuse since before Stormblood (I think). When they made it so you need to hold the button to release. :P
