And how exactly would they know what platform you're playing on anyway, you could say anything and they wouldn't know, but really who is going to join a group with that kind of attitude from a recruiter.

They will only know once you are in the instance if it's cross world. When you exam people's gear, if they are PS4 players, it shows their gamertag in the bottom right corner under the job stone.

It only shows that if you are on PS4 as well—it won’t show it if a PC player is examining a PS4 player, unless they have changed that in the year since I switched from PS4 to PC. I’ll have to go examine some of my friends that play on PS4 to double-check, but fairly certain it only shows your PSN name to other PS4 players.

That I did not know. I've always been on PS4, so I kind of assumed it was the same way for both. But that is definitely good to know. Even if it is a bad idea because you could blacklist/avoid someone to your hearts content, and not realize who it is you are adding on PSN if you never voice chat them/send messages(one reason I always appear offline...that and people like to send me tons of invites while watching movies)

yeah. I just checked this with a random FCmate and the info wasn't there. maybe it shows when you're in a group or duty but I'm doubtful.

You only see the tag if your a PS4 player yourself.

This. My raid WHM is a PS4 player, and his tag isnt visible from my PC version (hes from a different server) but when im on my PS4, i can see his tag.
(This applies to same server as well, as I can jump on a free trial account on my PC, and look at my PS4 account, and not see the tag, while seeing the tag on same server PS4 players)
