Yeah I'm trying to level AST too, but my RDM I use for the daily roulettes that my AST isn't high enough level for yet xD like 50/60 one.

Miste! Remember you have friends on Aether, if you need a healer feel free to let us know. Much as I enjoy your posts in this thread I'd certainly like to mitigate the bad for you if I can.

Yeah I just don't wanna be a bother haha xD since its old content a lot, I was gonna say I have to at least get into a cross world party or something with you so I can add you and Tridus to my friend list at least.

I want to thank the community on this Christmas - so many wonderful players that I've met while running Sirensong Sea to level up my PLD. They were all understanding that I didn't want to risk a huge pull in mostly ilvl255 gear, and even cracked some jokes during the few times I did try a big pull (spoiler: used all my CDs up to HG and still died in shield oath). Thanks to the 6 or 7 groups that I was grouped up with for being patient, and most of all, fun to run with. Hopefully by the time I hit Bardam's Mettle, I'll be able to do large pulls.

Remembering why I stopped doing roulettes after the very strange Expert I just had.....

Trying to cap because I’ve been extremely lazy about it all week (and because I was thinking today was Sunday for some reason, and not Monday), so I queue into Expert with a friend (me on BRD, them on WHM), and we get Kugane Castle. Tank is a DRK and other DPS is RDM. Dungeon goes fine; DPS is a little slow but the RDM said that they were lagging (I had noticed that they were standing around not casting anything and their Dualcast procs were falling off, so wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt here). Tank was...okay. Bit too reliant on TBN compared to other CDs, and lost hate a few times, but I just chalked it up to maybe gear disparities because his was bits and pieces of 300-310 gear with a few 320/330 pieces compared to mine, which is full 340.

Anyways, we get to Yojimbo, boss is pulled, and then the tank does something...odd. He drags Yojimbo all the way to the entrance, and straddles the exit. I notice immediately that he’s not moving, and I run out of the boss room, thinking “He’s going to try and get locked out of the boss room.” I have no idea what he was doing, but friend and I run out when we took notice, and, well of course there’s a wipe. He types “?” in the chat, and I asked him “What are you doing? You dragged the boss all the way to the exit and you were standing outside of the boss room.” He said that he didn’t realize he was standing outside the room, and while I didn’t say anything in chat, I called BS on it because he dragged the boss from north of the room all the way to the exit and purposely stood outside of it the entire time afterwards. I mention that there’s no need to tank him directly south because he’s just going to jump back up north for the coins later anyways, not wanting to outright say that I was aware of what he was probably trying to do, and he responds with “Idrc”, pulls the boss again, and the logs out immediately after.

Well, I was feeling extremely petty, knowing he was trying to avoid the penalty, so I refused to kick him. The three of us loitered for about 15 minutes talking about his behavior and waiting to see if he logged back in, then decided to pull, and I got to experience some BRD tanking (always fun). Wasn’t a full 30 minutes, but it was at least two-thirds of a penalty. Petty on my part, I know, but I’m sorry. I will not tolerate that sort of behavior—you get called out on trying to lock yourself out of the boss room and then rage-dc after being called out on it?! And I don’t even understand. Why try to get yourself locked out of the FINAL BOSS’ ROOM anyways!? After there have been no noticeable issues with the run other than slightly lower outgoing DPS? None of us really said anything out of the usual greetings/Merry Christmas, and we asked the RDM if they were lagging because they weren’t attacking for extended periods of time. But other than that, no issues.

But...god. I cannot stand people like that. Maybe it’s just because I’m feeling particularly exhausted from all the holiday fun but... I just wasn’t having any of that this morning.

So...I might've enabled bad players...well, let me not assume they were bad...but jeez, that was a painful run for me.

Entered Dusk Vigil and I usually pull up to the first big enemy just to see if the healer can handle the pull. Holy hell, not long after I finished pulling just the first four enemies, I saw my HP steadily dropping. I dunno what the WHM was doing - already had Rampart up and I saw my health start going into triple digits. So I popped HG...that was when the WHM decided to heal me. Oh it gets better - they threw regen on me multiple times just before we finished off a mob (at this point, I'm doing single pulls because I'm scared they'll let me die). Made grabbing mobs fun when they all got murdereyes for the WHM. They healed me occasionally when my health dropped low enough - which would've been fine, except the healer wasn't casting anything. They were just...standing there.

Such a frustrating run.

So where is the enabling part? I didn't say a word. I did normal pulls, adjusted to the lack of healing, and pressed on like nothing was wrong. There are times when I realize that I should say something...dunno why I didn't this time.

Only need one run of Castrum to level to 70. Figure alright, this will be easy. My first clue should have been the 15 minutes that elapsed before we got to the first boss. Tank is new, no problem there. Except they were really undergeared, a two hit wonder. Mage wouldn't stand out of AoEs or attack boss mobs. Wiped on the final boss 4 times before all luck would have it that we won, both DPS dead. In the Dragoons defense, he was amazing, did everything he could, kept everything up, kept mobs down... But god. What a freaken headache. Then to add more salt, I didn't even get the minion at the end. Took an hour to get through Castrum. Kill me.

Tank was probably wearing Shire still? That's usually what happens when they decide to make a healers life miserable.

I ran Sastasha (HM) earlier while leveling my SCH. Yeah... I'm not the best SCH but I really fudged up during the first boss. Uh so, long story short? I forgot to set Esuna, I kept forgetting to shield people before they got hit by the tornado, I forgot to but Eos on obey, and I wasted all my Aetherflow early on using Energy Drain. Yeah, both DPS died once each, and the fight was won with all of us except the BLM at low HP. The BLM was dead. >_> I swear to god I'm not a noob.

The run went perfect after that. It kind of kicked me in the ass and told me "get your shit together".
