I just checked on my Alt (used a skip book on him yesterday) - I didn't get any achievement points but I can buy from Calamity Vendor Scion Outfit, Alpine Coat, the Shield and a couple of other quest items, not too many though. I can make a screenshot of it, if you want.

I have a few alts ranging from levels 30s to 50s all still in ARR MSQ, but I'm getting tired of redoing the story over and over. Grinding the jobs is no problem for me as that is the fun part. The story is my only hindrance.
