I don't want to be that guy but savage is the only place that relics, let alone gear, is necessary at all. If you don't do savage then upgrading your stuff is quite meaningless as you don't have anything to put your upgrades against. Imo, if you're not using the gear for savage you're grinding it for glamour. Which there's nothing wrong with that. What I'm saying is, is that if you don't raid, then it doesn't really matter when they release the content since the item levels have no virtual usage. The item level is for bigger show than the glamour is, if you don't raid. But that's my opinion and I could be wrong.
