Sylphs Tribe for bard?

Hello, guys.

I'm still kinda new to the game and i just unblocked the Sylphs tribe. I'm a lvl 63 BRD and I wanted to know if if i should just start with that tribe quests. What do they give? Is it useful? Should i start now?

As others have said, if you want to learn more about the Sylph beast tribe, then you can do them, you only start with three quests a day from them but as you grow your reputation you can get up to 9 I think it is - been a while since I've done Sylph quests. It is decent EXP for leveling an alternate class that is under 50(I believe that's where the EXP drops to 10k a quest no matter what level the quest). There are a total of 5 beast tribes(4 battle and 1 crafter) in ARR, 3 in HW(2 battle 1 crafter), and currently 1 in SB(battle).

Each ARR tribe can get to rank 4(except crafter one goes to 7), then there is a short quest chain to get them all to Allied(rank 8) status. Similarly with the HW and SB ones, except they go to rank 7/8 respectively.

Also, out of topic, do you guys know how to get the second flower icon (the newbie icon)?

For this, the sunflower icon is for people who took a break from the game(not completely sure how long it has to be, but I believe it has to be 3 months with no subscription) and then return. The little green sprout for all new characters(even if I made a new character tonight it would have it, even though I haven't let my sub lapse since I started in Mar 2015) just disappears once you reach a certain part of the story, play a certain amount of time, or reach a certain level(I think...not sure about this one).

The sprout icon disappears after you have played a certain amount of time AND have reached a certain point in the story. ( I believe it is 168 hours of playtime and finished the 3.x MSQ )
