If we get ANOTHER RACE WITH A TAIL, can they please address the glamours that the tails make look stupid like the reindeer outfit?

They actually came from Tactics Advance which was released in 2003. Final Fantasy 12 was released in 2006. However both games share the same world as far as I remember.

Personally speaking I prefer the FF12 rendition, but I wouldn't be upset if they added both and made them like Midlanders and Highlanders.

i'd be quite ok with the tactic version of the viera, i mainly want something a bit more beastial rather then just human with animal parts glued on.

the lupin would be a brilliant addition but the more beastial looking veria or 'hummingway' (what the childlike race was called when they showed it) i would be ok with

Wait, what. I've been hoping that Return to Ivalice would lead us to Vieras, but a huge part of me guessed it was just wishful thinking. This lack of a direct "NO" from Yoshida, considering he did say "no" in the past, is giving me too much sudden hype O_O

I know I shouldn't be too excited over his response, but I really can't help it lol
If there's an obvious lack of viera in the next part of the Ivalice raid, the dev team may be planning something special by not showing them yet.

I like that idea! Although I can only imagine my fantasia woes would be doubled.

The Feol only feature in Reverent Wings as far as I know so they are quite obscure

Some of the Viera concept art (the cooler looking stuff) is essentially Au'ra with rabbit ears.
I hope they add a race that is more than just "pin the tail on the Hyur".

Careful what you wish for, they may just do that and play pin the tail on the Lalafell instead.

I don't think we should have a race from another game, what gets added should be appropriate to 14 and not something shoehorned in from another game.

Oh, I don't want Viera to be playable at all (I'd much prefer Lupin, which already exist). I'm just saying that replacing their rabbit feet with 'human feet' is just taking away the only unique thing about them (and will also most likely make them slightly shorter).

Also, to the people saying 'just make them not wear shoes,' would you really be okay with that? Some leg gear just do not look good without proper shoes on. Imagine a Viera wearing this, but without the foot gear (too lazy to get a screenshot without them)
