No, honestly, you worded it poorly. I wasn't sure if you thought it was good or bad for demos to go bye bye myself. Ideally they'll randomize when a house becomes available for sale after it gets relinquished or demolished with no countdown timer given. That'll kill the house flipper market and should lessen the competition a bit. Only SE knows what they'll actually do though.

The demolition was paused for the North American region and the US is definitely not the only thing that exists here. As a very real current example, I'm pretty sure Puerto Rico is still shredded and suffering from no electricity and other troubles.

Yes some places are still recovering, other places have been hit with this and that too. Ultimately it's a game. Not every not playing anymore is a direct result of any of that either. I dare say the majority of people in the NA region are unaffected directly, why do we need to save them a virtual house when they aren't playing anymore?

I know it's part of it but it's not really "part of it" as in that country is not directly connected to the same landmass. I know it's a claimed territory and that is not what I'm talking about for this.

While that is potentially correct, it's ultimately irrelevant. One could argue the pause of two weeks was more than fair, seeing as it directly inconveniences a majority of the game's players who were otherwise not affected by Irma. To pause it further, two months after the fact, for a vanishingly small portion of players is unreasonable in the extreme.

I never liked the auto-demolition timer so I'd be happy if they never reinstate it again.

I do wonder what kind of server infrastructure they are using.

In WoW, I had maximum slot bags on both my character and my bank, I had so much more space. Never had issues entering raids or dungeons in WoW with all this inventory, here in XIV they said (after the upgade) if we add any more slots the servers would crash ... ok?
Can't access Friend list or FC list in dungeons and raids ... why? No trouble accessing friend list or guild roster while in dungeons in WoW or Guild Wars or RIFT or any other MMO?
Can't PM while doing duties or dungeon ?? Again it's possible in other MMO's.
Oh and the glamour .... In Guild wars you have wardrobe systems (you don't need to hold items in your inventory), and WoW has something similar that when you obtain a new piece of gear it's unlocked in your transmog thing.
Why can't we have that here.. why must we have all the items present in our inventory.


And for housing specially. In WoW during Warlords of Draenor ... just was many issues and crashes at launch of expansion but that was just the millions of players all trying to do at same time.
Anyway basically you had garrisons and a new instance was created per player (everybody had one).
And in RIFT was the same thing, I didn't really played it any more but when housing was released everybody was able to have their own house there was no limits on it IIRC?


So yeah why not just have an automated system? There is 1 ward in all 3 housing areas, once there are x amount of plots bought a new ward will open up, everybody can buy a plot like that. And why not make it universal per data server?
I made a good friend on another server.. well we can only do roulette together.

In WoW you were actually able to play with people from other servers, like actually out in the open world and see each other. There where battlergoups where X amount of servers where put together so you could do anything with them together (even joining guilds on other servers).

So yeah what's up with the server stuff here?

If they do that all housing will eventually become is a monument to people who don't even play the game anymore. You'd effectively remove a feature for all future players.
