    [VISUALS] Casting-Animations: Differences between Blackmage, White mage[....]skills?

    What i always thought about the spell-casting-animations was "well for every type of magic skill i have always the same (non exciting) casting animation" thats kind of boring i think.

    that would only affect the "visual" side of the game.. and is NOT THAT important but i think for 2.0. it would be a nice to have "for the eyes".. seeing differences between the types of magic casting animations.. (like we see in other MMorpgs or in FFXI the difference if you casted an enfeebling skill or a black mage damage spell)


    what do you think about that cosmetic change? sure its not important at this point.. but for version 2.0. it would be nice doesnt it?

    i mean there could be just a difference like in FFXI... a difference between white-,black- and blue magic but there could be much more differences . to make the distinction between casting a fire or ice spell animation. i dont mean the spell animation ITSELF, i mean the CASTING animation of the caster.


    In FFXI we only had differences between the type of magic (White mage, blue mage or blackmage skill)


    I mean thats just one example.. neednt to be like that. i mean we can see different casting animations in every MMO out there.

    Good idea. If u see in the screenshot of 2.0 version, u will see that BLM on the left and WHM on the right have different effect when cast spell (dark for BLM and white for WHM, more visibile then now)

    Its true it is not that important but i agree with you .... and even go farther telling that :
    (for the mages) FFs Online have great magical effects on monsters (even FF XIV now) but really basic animations around the caster himself and the number of those animations are really low.

    It will be so cool to have different classy animations depending of :
    - aoe or not
    - targeting self allies or enemy
    - CON or THM
    and the color of the aura depending of the element : darkness/light/fire/ice/....

    Its not a major feature needed to be implemented but it will be cool for the 2.0 ... >_>

    There already are different casting animations between CNJ and THM spells. It follows logically that the jobs will either:

    Have the same casting animations as their base classes.
    or
    Have entirely different casting animations of their own.

    I'd love for different casting animations over all.

    If it has a long cast time, they obviously need to focus, so make them use both hands to make a ball of energy.. if you get the mental picture?

    It'd be cool for the casting time to be different as well.

    oh really? i hope so that it will be implemented in the final version of 2.0.
    the new dev team knows how to develope a real Final Fantasy.
