I see that was your first ever post so welcome to the forums... but you just bumped/revived a thread that was a year old(and since then /novicenetworkleave was added as well as the method you described, hence the thread probably died)

Considering some may not know that, and google sending people here, Id say its good to add that relevant info to this post, rather than create a new one?

I read through this thread. Not a single "Mentor" mentioned that you can simply hide the novice network itself.
Go to setting, look for the chat logs tab, Under "General" there is a box, and you can unclick it to hide novice network from your Chat box.
No need to remove Novice status.


They added the command to the help info that pops up when you join the network as a novice, so it's right there in game. No real reason to search it up anymore if you do read your help popups instead of just ignoring them.
