Any clue as to how Rival Wings will work? Strategies?

For some reason, the default targets seems to be whoever is closest, making it kinda clunky. I dunno maybe I'm missing some setting?

not sure if you're on ps4 but yes it always target closest, in pc there's a choice to ignore depth and cone.
the default ignore depth is annoying from left to right instead of bottom to top first, im trying getting used to cone atm.
