I want to contribute significantly to DPS no matter my role

Let's make sure we don't let them win on feedback so the game doesn't make a huge change for the worse. One of my favorite things about XIV is being able to stance dance and skillfully contribute to DPS in meaningful ways. I feel like I'm making an impact and moving the needle further forward when I do so, and being able to do so on top of my other duties like tanking, healing and mitigating is incredibly rewarding and satisfying. I never want that to change, and would actually prefer it to be expected in most duties, but I understand why it's not and am okay with that as long as I and other skilled players are continued to be allowed to do so.

Thanks for reading, keep switching to your DPS stance while maintaining aggro and not dying, using cooldowns appropriately.

Me too. I just don't want people to expect it from me like its my primary job, if its not. that's just silly.

and if tank stance isn't useful for tanking theres a balance issue which needs to be addressed.

I have no problem with tanks and healers who want to dps as long as they do their jobs. Tanks and healers who let the dps die because they are too busy trying to be dps are ridiculous. If you want to dps first, then simply roll a dps job.

^ That should always be the main takeaway. It is every roles' job to dps. Hence the kits being the way they are. It is not every roles' primary job though. Fulfill the primary role and then the secondary when appropriate.

Cleric Stance can stay a dead and useless cooldown thank you. As a healer I enjoy my current ability to dps without the detriment to the primary aspect of my role.

A far more important discussion should be a rework of the tank stances to allow a similar benefit.

I'm genuinely curious why? Did you never have any of the issues some of us did where we'd click the button and it wouldn't respond? For the longest time I though that was my lag until I read on the healer forums that other people were having the same issue. It was right up there with your Benediction target dying before the animation finished for me.

For me the most enjoyable part of playing a healer is salvaging those razor edge situations where you get that critical heal off at just the right moment.
