Clearly all the content in the game is complete for him, now the game is boring and nothing to do
The content that I enjoy is partying. EXP parties.

You can try to deny that PL'ing has not affected the availability of members for regular EXP parties, but that is clearly not the case.

My main character is Gnu Who if you want to check the breakdown of his accomplishments. I take it only fully maxed players with everything completed merit your attention? I can tell you that I have not succeeded at either Darkhold or Ifrit. Do you have a habit of posting player's accomplishments when you disagree with them? I think you are both condescending and lame.

I enjoy playing multiple characters so that I have more opprotunity to party. I really enjoy healing, leveled CON twice. When I hit End-Game (which generally is too demanding in time and attention requiremenets) I just go level something new for fun. That fun has been severely damaged by the availibility of PL'ing (as well as the nerf of low level abilites and low level Leve rewards while sololing).

If EXP parties and casual leveling content are not to be a focus of FFXIV, then I will lose interest. I am not the only one who feels that way. You think SE can afford to ignore the pleas of the casual playerbase?

SE will lose more players than it will retain by focusing on grinding. Grinding is not "cool" anymore in modern MMOs. It's all about rush to cap and put all the content there. The average casual MMO player doesn't want to wait 2 months to be able to do endgame content. It doesn't matter if that's not what you want. That's the bulk of the market and they know it. Maybe you'd be more interested in a Korean grinding MMO?

I see what you mean. Perhaps I really am an outdated old fart. The grind was not all that fun, no. I would prefer they focus on making that grind fun, rather than implementing ways to skip it.

However, if I really am in the minority, then FFXIV will be a success regardless of the lack of players such as me.

Maybe they should just abandon the level system and stick to what other games are trying to do, monster hunter for example. That game is based on how good you are and not really on how good your gear is. Level is non-existing.

One of the problems of that system is that it is unforgiving to mistakes, add some lag into the mix and get a nice frustration mix.

I agree with the OP that PL is partially killing the game. Try getting a low level (<20) party, most of the time you just get a reply a la "just get someone to PL you..."

Honestly speaking if you enjoy xping then there is a concept they added this update that would allow you to xp for as long as you like. Just grab a bunch of gear and keep on spiritbonding til you get bored of accumulating xp lol. At 50 you have a great chance of obtaining lv 3-4 materia to use and if the demand for them is high not only can you obtain xp but you can also make gil based on the materia is have claimed.

Oh thats nice you admit to afk leveling thats cool
And you will not go from 40-50 in a pt in 3 hours
I wasn't AFKing, I was sleeping, my keyboard was right next to me. Get your facts straight!

Considering you can get about 250-300k/hour by camp swapping on beastmen and AOEing, you only need a lil over 800k from 40-50.

Works out 3hours. Considering I did it.

yes, it's not hard at all and it can be done in 3 hours or less. 15-20k exp a pull every few minutes gets you there quite fast.

To be completely honest, tank spanking is not even high on the skill list of MMO'S.
