A big part of the reason why house-flippers/monopolizers are an issue is that it's way too easy to meet the requirements for owning one on an alt with all of the EXP bonuses you get pre-50, plus the GC rank requirements can be fulfilled by simply mass-creating easy green recipes for seal turn-ins.

I think at minimum they should at least require completion of the 2.0 MSQ before being able to purchase one, though I'd honestly prefer if they required level 70 and the completion of the SB MSQ. A limited commodity should be reserved for dedicated players who are less likely to simply hang onto it because they can, and not because they actually intend to use it.

I've already noticed some of the bot-farming guilds on my server prepping level 50 alts for this purpose, and they basically will do the MSQ legit until they've completed the quests required to get a job, then switch to botting FATEs rest of the way.

well changes are coming in 4.2 have to wait n see. gonna be intresting since Yoshi said not to worry about plots selling out fast.

But so weird to hear of bots ive yet to see one on my server then again we were low pop and didn't even have house flippers till the free transfers came in and those flippers are just greedy players

A house is hardly required for running a FC (And FC housing in itself presents an issue in that there are solo FCs run by a single player that are used mostly to own two houses).

Also, unless they add several dozen wards, medium/large house numbers are always going to be an issue and those are the ones typically targeted by people who don't intend to actually make use of them.

I would imagine it's very hard for FCs to recruit new members without a house.

Honestly, "casual-friendly, 24 hour buffs" FC are a dime a dozen in the game. I might as well pick an FC with a house and some amenities.

The people who'd resort to PotD spamming or botting FATEs to hit 50 before finishing the MSQ will most likely be doing it specifically so they can nab houses.

It already require you have a Lv50 class (for personal)

The sad thing is that there definitely are people who would make new accounts and level boost strictly so they can horde houses with them.

I'm hoping they at least impose a one house per account restriction in 4.2 to limit the impact alternate accounts can have (Since I doubt they'll manage more then sticking a bigger band-aid on the housing issues).
